Glass half full we are still second

Glad half empty... we were diabolical and smashed in contested ball, and will face a side who thrive on it and have 2 outstanding key forwards. Adelaide taught us a lesson on forward spacing

I don't think there's too much in terms of personnel changes. Jones is the obvious out, but I don't see much else

Like the Bonner on the wing call, could also see jhf playing more forward and wines at cbas more. Long season for the kid with an interrupted pre season is starting to show

fourth at the end of next week, unless we can turn things around in a hurry

Turned it off at half time and watched SVU on Prime.

My free 12 months of Kayo runs out this sometime this week and the only thing I use it for really is watching Port so I was considerong subscribing for a couple of months but you can * right off if you think Im paying $30 a month to watch that that tripe!!!

There needs to be proper independent review of the club at the end of the year.
I just used a 30 day Kayo voucher from Uber One. That only costs $10. Plus you get the Uber One benefits for a month.

They can't possibly pick Jonas, he's the Bluesmobile at the end of the movie

I’d prefer Bonner but I think they’ll pick Jonas.

Friendly reminder that Geelong have only won one game against a top 7 team all year. They've also lost to 14th and lost twice to 15th.

The only reason that they're still even in the finals conversation is because so far this season they've had a piss easy draw despite coming off of a flag year, presumably as part of the AFL's 'make everything as easy as possible on Geelong' policy which has been running rampant for the last 15 years.

Yep, Geelong are shit, we should beat them. But unfortunately, Adelaide are also shit and here we are.

I reckon we get it done against the cats though, expectations are lower so we will thrive.

Cool. Have we been playing like a top 7 team since the bye or do we actually resemble the exact type of mid table team that Geelong would be expected to take care of at home?

The Crows in Adelaide are far from shit, unfortunately.

Geelong just lost at home to 15th. We are miles better than Geelong.

Post bye we are back to the exact same brand of Hinkley mediocrity as last year. Everything is a struggle, no clean ball movement, needing to dominate forward half territory and have 500 entries to score, but still losing because the opposition has an open forward line and ours has 300 blokes in it.

Also a bunch of players who were going well earlier have reverted to spud status. McEntee, McKenzie, Burton, Finlayson, Marshall, wines, Boak, mashed potato knee Dixon, etc

I'd say Geelong are a tougher assignment than the crows, yeah they lost to freo at home but freo are having a really weird year where every few weeks or so they return to the form of the previous season. it's a bit like our 2015, where we knocked off the premiers twice but then couldn't beat 17th and 18th on the ladder.

And how often would Geelong lose two in a row at home? I've been mentally preparing for 4 losses in a row and probably have been since about 5 minutes in to the Carlton game.

For the reasons you’ve listed I’m definitely not confident we’ll turn it around. Seen this scenario too many times under donuts.
