Fair enough,
Certainly not blaming, just questioning, young kids need to be saved from themselves as well, if he was doing a bunch unsanctioned running, you would’ve hoped one of the guys a couple of years older would’ve pulled him up on it.

I think we're all disappointed with the lack of leadership from our senior players. I love Jack and Luke for their undying commitment to the club, but frankly they are poor leaders. It's been a problem for a long time.

I keep thinking that he's smaller than he is. He's a similar size to Sicily or Doedee. Probably the perfect size to cover any number of forwards.

Would be great if young Arch and Cooper get to Bailey Scott levels of output in years to come. North through and through.

Surprised there have been no comments on his game yesterday. He's really exceeding my expectations.

Pickett got involved in a few goals, although it was more due to picketts class then poor defending.I thought he was very good and his field kicking and decision making is improving. Is working hard to present for outlet kicks as well. Looks to have great closing speed on his tackles as well.

Will be huge for our list build if Archer can turn into a Nick Smith type.

Very confident with Jackson. Never shirks an issue, considers options, bitta skill. Him down back, Cooper up forward we have two winners.

Tend to agree. Is building well. Copped it a bit from Goldy for a poor kick not to his advantage, of course Goldy did the same thing 5 mins later...

Underrated reader of the play. Can intercept well.
Has that knack of halving contests that almost seems like it can't be taught. Will be interesting to see how he develops.

Building.

Something I don't think gets mentioned enough in footy is body movement. I'm sure those really into dance, gymnastics or martial arts will be better able to explain it. Any of those disciplines that require strong but smooth integrated movement.

Sometimes you watch players who just have something but you look at statistics or raw skills and it's not apparent.

Jackson has the raw ingredients of that. Uses his body well one one on one, can control his change of direction well and knows how to charge through effectively (no idea where he picked that one up from..).

Sydney are typically a side full of players with these attributes. Sometime their individual skills might not be exceptional or they won't set any land speed records but they have very effective body control.

Will be a 200 game player with a bit of injury luck.

A whole bunch of things contribute to what you're describing, balance and core strength amongst the top of the list - and Jackson has both.

Technically he's a sound player. His hands are good, he's clean and his kicking is neat. He has a good frame on which he will be able to easily add size. And he's always alert and plays with purpose and toughness.

He won't be a star, but he'll make it.

He has acceleration - a real burst of speed and good judgement. And he can mark the ball. Not a penetrating kick so team mates need to present up to him.

His closing speed is a super impressive. I thought he was quite slow when he was going through the junior ranks, but has a good turn of pace.

I think his quick decision to attack the ball makes him look quicker than what he would be in a straight line race. You don’t need to be super quick if you make a decision before your opponent does.

I think young Arch makes up his mind pretty quick to attack the contest. He will get burnt a few times because he pretty much attacks everything, but you would take that any day over a player that hesitates.

Credit to his own personal drive and development.

I feel more comfortable with him and Goater locking down in the back half.

Selling a home game to Bonneville Salt Flats Raceway in Utah will solve this.
