Our loss, he’s gain (4flags & Norm Smith)Was playing for Redan in the BFL, Carlton recruiters liked him but told him they needed to see him playing VFL - where he joined North Ballarat - then Hawthorn drafted him.
Could have rookied him, played VFL for us then upgrade…Was playing for Redan in the BFL, Carlton recruiters liked him but told him they needed to see him playing VFL - where he joined North Ballarat - then Hawthorn drafted him.
Take that McChins
As much as I hate how infested the AFL is with gambling, I'm not sure what can be done about it, if anything. There's just so much money involved it can't go anywhere.I don't know how the Swans can take an anti-gambling stance when it's such a massive revenue contributor to the sport in which they participate.

You married a Collingwood supporter? My hubby is one of those who will lose his away seat. He sits in the Ponsford stand on level 2. He thinks he shouldn't have to move as Collingwood had a deal and he pays lots of money for his membership. I told him bad luck no other club can access these seats when it is their home games because Collingwood hogs them. They can sook it up all they want but bad luck and suck it up.
It's obviously not cheap but I'm surprised clubs haven't looked at this more.Collingwood need to build their own stadium, just like Geelong. Then they can sell all their seats out every year to all their members.

Imagine having the home ground advantage that Geelong do every season.
Most clubs had it once upon a time…
20 games then delistedimagine if we drafted him
And the reason for delisting….can’t kick on his right20 games then delisted
The Legends Stand is all the reason you need to never let Carlton build another one.
Almost fell off my seat watching the channel 10 news that Clarkson wants the Norf supporters to “turn out in force” for Cunnington’s last game. All 10 of them.

It’s all about the parking in Carlton … you’d be going up against resident backlash unless a parking solution is included and that would probably cost more than any stand refurb I’m guessing …Geelong didn’t pay for the upgrade, no club could afford it.
It’s been debated here a lot but I’ve never seen a real report on what it would cost to get the ground back up to a standard where we could make money.
There are several grounds in the AFL which are behind PP in size and most teams in the NRL still play games at their historical home ground.
I feel the historical ties to a ground, maintaining a legacy, home ground advantage are worth more than having 10,000 extra spectators at 2-3 games per year.
It would be good to have an actual $$$ amount to go with the discussion.
An upgrade of the legends stand $10M, Elliott stand $15M, a second level or something small behind the gardener stand $5M, it’s not a great amount.
Princes Parking Lot. No one would mind if all that green space was turned to asphalt, would they? It’s all about the parking in Carlton … you’d be going up against resident backlash unless a parking solution is included and that would probably cost more than any stand refurb I’m guessing …

I get you sometimes need to scoot to a game in a car but I didn't know anyone who drove to pp back in the day........train, tram, walk, win, reverse.....No parking required, plenty of other ways to get to the ground
I have a few guest permits that would pay for themselves pretty quicklyIt’s all about the parking in Carlton … you’d be going up against resident backlash unless a parking solution is included and that would probably cost more than any stand refurb I’m guessing …
