Carr finally had a reason to yell at a teammate there and decided not to.

One can only conclude it was because he is white and Carr is a racist.
Not the first time thats been alleged, Remember that there were rumors some on the Raiders OL not blocking as hard because Carr was a Trump voter.

Are the Saints finally about to be ****ed this off season?

I know they've been kicking the can down the road but how do they make up $85m in the off season if no one wants their players?
restructure again and again. the same as they have done the last 10 years.
They should of eaten the losses a couple of years ago.
Some of it will be extend players they should cut. something like a player who is schedule to make $10m extend them and drop the cap number to ~$4m but give them 3 more years. Which is what they have been doing and why they have been in this mess for 10+ years.

Eagles did $75m a few years ago, Saints biggest year was looking at clearing almost $90m.

The best part is the Saints have been getting progressively worse as the years roll on. In reality, the NFC south is cheeks and completely up for grabs, yet Baker ****ing Mayfield will probably see playoffs before any of the other teams

Somehow the Saints will fall into the playoffs, but that will cause them to double down again and keep kicking the can down the road.

That's bizarre to me. They're not close to competing realistically.

Are they unable to pack it in and do a full rebuild now due to being stuck with too many contracts? Surely they could move some players on.

Because of the restructures in the past any trades or cuts its costing more than its saving. and you cant use the June1 tag to clear cap space in march. quite a few players it will cost more to cut then keep. so likely just add void years till 2030.

In Carr's defence, and I don't defend Carr as you are aware, Foster Moreau did just recover from Hodgkins lymphoma recently so may have been a tad harsh to have a crack at him.

But that Oline story is correct in it was reported in a game against Washington the line was pissed at him for his political views and he was sacked numerous times

Its because Olave gave up on the route which meant that the primary read on the play wasn't as open as it should have been

Although this writer believes there are many more issues than just Olave not putting in full effort

Would seem the Browns told Watson to ingest a teaspoon of cement to harden the **** up... so weird....mind you he practiced in full 2 weeks ago and ruled himself out a couple of hours before the game so who the **** knows....

Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot believes Deshaun Watson (shoulder) “looks like a go” for Week 7 against the Colts.
Cabot said Watson, who hasn’t played since Week 3 with a lingering shoulder issue, took all the first-team reps in Friday’s practice and has good “zip” on the ball. It’s something of a surprise after Watson this week said he couldn’t push the ball downfield or toward the boundaries. If Watson suits up against the Colts, he’ll be a top-15 fantasy option. The Colts have allowed at least 18 fantasy points to five of the six quarterbacks they’ve faced in 2023.

There comes a point time sadly when the Chargers run out of chances despite the talent.

Everyone loves using Staley as the scapegoat , i'm not saying he shouldnt cop any blame ( he absolutely deserves a good portion of it) ...but watching that game against Dallas I knew the Chargers would blow the final drive and game, coz that's what they do. How sad is it when you have more confidence in Dallas than another team not bottling it. The truth is Herbert doesn't get it done regularly in big moments (not blaming that INT solely on him but it's just another example of where other franchise QBs take their team down the field for a win and he doesn't ) , you can blame the coaches, defense, WRs etc all you like but he's gifted a pass too frequently.
Herbert is so overrated, been saying it for a couple of seasons.

The Jets beat the Eagles at 3, ran the Chiefs down to the wire (and should've won if not for suspect ref calls) at 2 and beat the Bills at 10 and you have them at 20? And all with a backup QB. So biased.
Normally I would have Wilson teams between 28 and 32, so this is a recognition of stellar D.

Still lost to the Pats.

True, but teams always have their bunnies, unfortunately we are that for the Pats.

Had my tongue firmly in cheek anyway, just thought it worth mentioning 😉

This is one of the most simplistic salary cap analysis pieces I've ever seen.

The tweet completely ignores the reality of the last four years of results across the NFL from players renegotiating the salary profiles of their existing deals in return for an extra year of security, the impact of incentives/options (the numbers quoted in the tweet treat every single incentive or option contract as if it is guaranteed and locked in), and the draft pick profile that the Saints have at the moment.

To be clear, I despise the Saints and would never defend anything associated with Loomis, but to suggest that the Saints are somehow in the worst position ever is just completely misleading. They have decent talent to trade out or extend for salary reprofiles, more than a decent market share of the TV rights and revenue deals, a reasonable chance of playoffs in a weak division, and decent draft picks in the early rounds next year and 2025.

Contrast this to the position of say the Broncos, Cowboys or Raiders, and you'll see the Saints are nowhere near as badly positioned as the tweet suggests.

You know he runs Over the Cap right?

He is saying how much of a corner the Saints have backed themselves into. He also knows they will keep kicking the can down the road with void years, restructures and extensions. and most of the Saints deals are guaranteed because of past restructures. 9 of the top 10 for next season have been restructured already the only one who hasnt is Carr.
Kamara and Davis are the only 2 with a roster bonus that might be cut. and even then its only a small gain because of the deadcap.

a restructure of every contract that can still has them $7m over. and then add whatever they need for draft reserve. So its also going to need to extend players to drop the 24 salary. and any of the players who have had multiple restructures its hard to trade because it wont save any money it would actually cost more for some.
