You know he runs Over the Cap right?

He is saying how much of a corner the Saints have backed themselves into. He also knows they will keep kicking the can down the road with void years, restructures and extensions. and most of the Saints deals are guaranteed because of past restructures. 9 of the top 10 for next season have been restructured already the only one who hasnt is Carr.
Kamara and Davis are the only 2 with a roster bonus that might be cut. and even then its only a small gain because of the deadcap.

a restructure of every contract that can still has them $7m over. and then add whatever they need for draft reserve. So its also going to need to extend players to drop the 24 salary. and any of the players who have had multiple restructures its hard to trade because it wont save any money it would actually cost more for some.
I well aware of what he claims to "run", and I'm also well aware of the weakness of his analysis and record of poor forecasting, which has led to loss of NFL teams and analysts paying for his stuff, which in turn is why he is suddenly chasing headlines and clicks with Twitter and Reddit feed posts based on misnfo and half info.

You've completely ignored what I posted, and doubled down on his premises and reasoning.

His malarky acts as if somehow a club is obligated to extend and maintain the contracts of every single player ad infinitum, when in fact many can be renegotiated, traded for other players with different profiles, or (gee gosh golly) just taken care of by salary cap growth, post season revenue, third party revenue and the shifting of amounts to seasonal signing bonuses, changed incentives and other variables. He's been spouting the same garbage about the Eagles, Chiefs and Patriots for years, and has been proven wrong at every turn.

But you dont gain money on a contract by redoing the deal if its been restructured. which is why teams do that. also most players are not going to redo a deal for less money.

You dont gain money by trades in these situations. its how the Packers have $40m in deadcap this season on Rodgers deal.
Yes you gain freedom on trades, but not when the contract has been restructured over and over.

The Saints will clear somewhere around the $115m range by moving money.

and if teams are using OTC or spotrac for book keeping thats on them. good teams are doing cap plans 3+ years ahead and will have dozens of sheets depending on players they keep or go after in FA.

Lions cant contain him, getting outside the pocket too often. This is a proper ass kicking
Always struggle against mobile QBs. Lamar running through the gaps &/or plenty time to throw.

Yeah feels like your linebackers seems a bit too slow to spy on a QB like Lamar. Need to bring in a safety or something on third downs.

Game over it looks like. Shame, I got up specifically to watch this thinking it would be a good game.

Was expecting an L going into this one but always thought it would be a hard fought game. This is just flat out embarrassing.
