I'll happily eat humble pie about the choice to bowl, which looked decidedly shaky when Sharma was at the crease. Cummins' captaincy was excellent, however. The bowling was first rate and was backed up by a desperate fielding unit.
6 World Cups. What next for this Aussie juggernaut? Oh yeah, a 5 match T20 series versus India starting later this week

I watched the highlights and you could hear a pen drop in the stadium when Maxwell hit the winning runs. Never has deathly silence been so satisfying.
Fully expected to see him in here tooting his own horn. Was a great call.

I have never rated Cummins captaincy but he captained at the level of Waugh or Border last night. He didn't have the best team on the field and the conditions weren't made for an Australian side, but through some great bowling choices, amazing fielding and his own bowling he ensured Australia took home it's 6th world cup. Most teams have won none. England and India two. Australia have made the semi final or final every time since 1996 and since the shock 1996 final loss have made the final 5 more times for 5 Victories and every single one of them a dominant victory.

Small correction. England have only won the WC once. The Windies have won it twice.
I believe you have not considered moral WC titles.
