I think theres truth to both. For mine, Jy and Powell are our best goal kicking on the run midfielders but Jy is probably the least effective i50 kick of out of our regular midfielders as well. Not saying he’s necessarily a bad kick, it might be more decision making at issue here.
I also think he’s been tasked with shouldering a lot of the grunt work with developing midfielders around him and Cunners, Greenwood, Anderson etc either being out or not what they once were.

With LDU, Phillips, Powell, TT & Warlord stepping up, he may have to be less at the coalface, bearing that brunt and be more able to get released, while being less fatigued, to the outside.

Hopefully that makes his disposal more considered and reliable…

By the time he’s done his work on the inside in the past few years making up for team deficiencies- he’s spent.

A better system and more support will do wonders for him.

Unfairly cops criticism for making up for the short comings of the team.

While not perfect, I think he’s unfairly maligned. Will be better when those around him are too.

I wonder why they picked the GC of all places, at the start of summer, where it’ll be around 30 all week, for a football camp.

All I can think of is that it does afford relative anonymity for a bunch of Victorian footballers.
or the players need a good kick in the pants working hard in tough conditions.

It's a technique issue IMO. He's more proppy when targetting in the mid range of distance, when kicking through the ball fully - a la at goal - he is more reliable even on the run because he kicks through the ball.

Didn't we all gather at Dallas Brooks' to prevent this from happening?!
It's nothing to be alarmed about the players wanted to train at venue that had good takeaway options for after training, to keep their protein intake up, and CCJ said he knew a good kebab place on the Gold Coast…

that's a joke.
How can a team just not play in a state.

Our 'away' game vs Gold Coast is in Darwin.

We play Brisbane only once, and that's in Adelaide for the Gather Round.

Honestly not fussed about that tbh.

I live on the GC, Does any one know the training times and location the boys will be training so I can go watch...Cheers
Time to put my mad investigative forensics skillz to use.

I'm not either, but it should not really happen. Same as one of us or Hawthorn should always have a Melbourne home game when we play each other in Tassie. Every team should play in every state with 2 or more teams minimum once per year.
