Sure do. We did ok out of ours in the ‘70’s (Mick Nolan, John Byrne among others) but Hawthorn’s was incredible (Matthews, Knights, Brereton, Kelvin Moore , The Abletts ,Tuck etc). Think they were meant to redraw them every few years but they didn’t.

It would have been nice to land Sanders, but effectively we received Hardeman, Dawson, Stephens, and Fisher from the AFL instead.

Now that the dust has settled, I think this draft goes down as a special one. The media latched on to Harley Reid and the Gold Coast kids as the talking point, but overall it was a pretty special group in the top 10.

Ignoring the bias I hold towards our boys, it's hard to imagine any of Reid, Sanders, Watson, or Walter not having long careers. There's hardly a significant weakness between them. Sanders is probably one of the more complete prospects to drop out of the top five since Bailey Smith
