Johnson isn't coming to Carolina, think about it, hottest OC in the league (why would you choose this dumpster fire team with as many options as Johnson will have?), Duce Staley (ex Lions coach) would have told him to stay the **** away from Tepper. We will be used for contract leverage and nothing more. Not a chance Johnson is coaching Carolina next year.

We can have as much interest as we like, any coach with ambitions isn't coming here. Chargers make sense but with the picks the Bears have I think they are more attractive, a coach can create a roster in his vision within 2 years.

I think we have more HoF players than any other side. I honestly can’t remember any of them praising that tight ass family.
Even Ditka left as a player through a pay dispute , and the year he led the Bears to their only SB win as was the lowest paid HC in the league.

Eberflus looks like staying then if they are reporting just an OC firing. Silly silly team. A coach who will be coaching for his job next year and a rookie QB. What could possibly go wrong? (Didnt the Bears just do this with Matt Nagy and Fields a few years ago?) ... so many great HC candidates out there this year, passing up on them seems foolish. I take it this is a McCaskey's too cheap to pay out the current coach's contract type of thing.

Eburflus is imo a very good DC.
He actually did a very good job with the defense once he took over and was good for the colts too.
Not convinced he’s a good HC , and the offense was rubbish under Getsy.
I think he stays just reading between the lines when Poles speaks about him.
Poles would be wise to realize his own job hinges on this off seasons decisions he must make

Blows my mind that they have basically fired Eberflus' entire staff yet kept Eberflus. So, who does he hire for OC? Hopefully its not left to Eberflus to do it otherwise it could be very grim. Frank Reich was his coach in Indy, just saying.

Who would want the job knowing head coach is on borrowed time , fields at qb.

Does eberflus even have the contacts to get a good hire at OC let alone rest of staff.
