My mums a harbour master and I reckon she deserves every privilege she gets after the pain she’s been through and loyalty she has provided.I don't think these Tassie Devils "founding memberships" are actually memberships that confer any rights or privileges. You just get a sticker.
Anyway my recollection is habourmasters paid a 1000 bucks. A fair amount of money in 1994 I suppose but they got some pretty outsized ongoing privileges for it.
How much did it cost to be a foundation freo member just out of curiosity?
Thank you$50 for Quay club
On that, how do their home games work? Do they play 6 games in Hobart and 5 games in Launceston? Is one stadium better than the other? Will Freo have to play at the shit stadium? That last question is a joke because we all know the answer.Yeah just happy for Tassie finally getting a team. About time. And that means a closed roof stadium, too. Good for us when we play there.

The current Tassie memberships aren't exactly legit either. In my case it's more of a middle finger to the politicians that are trying to cancel the Tasmania Devils and their stadium plans. Don't reckon I am alone there.GWS memberships are a fraud.
Possibly Pies too. They're going to try and hang on for another year or 2 at least for a flag an suddenly its 2026, they're **** and have Daicos and nothing else.Assuming Tassie gets off the ground, I'm going to go on a limb and say Richmond are going to going to hit the worst prolonged stretch of performances ever seen by an established club - worse than what WC are in the middle of and North are just exiting
Of course they bloody are.Apparently they get father/son access to any Tasmanian that has played 100 AFL games. That seems a tad bit generous to me.
Hmmm possibly, at least with the Daicii they have SOMETHING 25 or under though as I run through their team in my head, it is grim as I try to think who else they have. I think they have enough from 25-30 though to hang on to decency the next 5 years while Tassie gut everything then start a rebuild after Tassie are done getting assistance.Possibly Pies too. We got stuck in the bottom 5 with Fyfe, Neale and Mundy. They have no KPP prospects of any note under 25 and don't have their 1st this year. Pretty sure it's dire for them in the medium to long term. I think they have a West Coast cliff coming.Hmmm possibly, at least with the Daicii they have SOMETHING 25 or under though as I run through their team in my head, it is grim as I try to think who else they have. Yeah, that's fair, just think Richmond are EXTRA ****ed because the bulk of their rebuild will be through Tassie coming in. Because they've been out of the draft for two years with the price they paid for Taranto and Hopper, they are effectively us in 2016 (and we knocked this draft out of the park) but instead of Fyfe, Neale and Mundy, they have Balta, Bolton and Taranto and during our 2018 to probably 2021 the top of the draft is gutted. But they should get a few top 5 and top 25 picks in before Tassie shouldn't they?Yeah, that's fair, just think Richmond are EXTRA ****ed because the bulk of their rebuild will be through Tassie coming in. Feels like a unique circumstance where they are ****ed on a whole new level. I think Collingwood could/will end up like Hawks. Richmond though, yeesh...
He is on 276 Games. On the last year of his contract.Andrew Gaff has been informed he will be omitted this week. The positive is that this gives him plenty of time to work on his putting game.
I think we just think slightly differently on when they bottom out, I think they have enough to get through to 2028 before needing to gut it, you think they fall out in 2026 and the timing is key. I also probably dont mind a few of the other players around 25 for Pies, I have never thought as low as I do about a teams talent 25 and under as I do RichmondsBut they should get a few top 5 and top 25 picks in before Tassie shouldn't they?
Pies are most likely going to play finals this year so their 2nd is ~40. They might well be hang on to play finals next year as well. Then, when the bottom falls out in 2026 they will have 1 draft before Tassie takes everyone.
Personally think the situations are close enough that the club that executes best will come out best. I think both situations are dire over that period.
