The list of brothers who have played in the same Carlton team is an interesting one. It leads me to wonder who people think were the best brothers to play for Carlton?

I would go Ed and Charlie, over Stephen and David Kernahan. But there are brothers in the list I don’t even know, so perhaps I am missing a stand out candidate.

Yeah from memory David was never able to get much of a run at it, but was a decent backman.

I'm not sure how many games he played but there was some talent there.

Ed and Charlie would have to be the twins that have contributed the most I would think.

Lets hope the Campo twins can top the lot!!!! (very high bar I know)

Need to brush up on my Carlton knowledge. Did not know Ed and Charlie were twins!!

I think having a 3rd tall is over rated.

We’ve got two of the best talls in the comp - they need to earn their keep and set around them 4 “smalls” who pressure, feed, tackle - generally cause havoc.

I’d like to see fog & cunners & fantasia kept , Kennedy out.
I think having a 3rd tall is under rated. How quickly we forget the extra dimension to our fwd line that JSOS provided. With his willingness to provide a marking option, his pressure and tackling. Make no mistake, his absence will continue to be felt this season. Don't think it will be this week, but I am hoping to see young Moir debut over the coming weeks. Reckon he is exactly the type of player we need in our mix. Of course he is young and a bit skinny, but huge upside. He is a very exciting prospect.

Good Old Dave Kernahan... Think he may have ben his own worst enemy according to a story from Parko

Weiters available, but will he be in? If so, who for?

Young is the easy option, but maybe Kemp?

I think we look better with Kemp in, despite some of the brain fades, he's got the skills.
Weitering for Young.

We've got a block of games from end of last season showing we just need Weiters as the general + his army in Marchy/Kemp, Gov and Newman.

Yeah, I think it’s a role of the dice and I agree with you we’ve got to bring Weiters in. I just have a feeling he’s gonna be subpar … I’m concerned that he might not be battle already. That’s all I’m saying. The good news is it’s North Melbourne it’s not GWS… but I’m just calling out that you should not assume they will be a pushover is their home game? It’s a big deal for the their club in front of a huge TV audience . Maybe we give Weiters a spell in the VFL for next week? I know that’s like spitting on the pope - but I have my concerns - that’s all I’m saying…

With younger developing players, or players coming back from incredibly long injury layoffs, I see the logic. Weiters is an elite player, in his prime, is a leader of the club, and is an absolute professional. If he's physically ready you let him get "battle ready" in the seniors.

A spell in the VFL after this week does him no good. What value is there in him bullying this stellar line-up?

Nothing there is helping get him prepped for Walker and Fogarty in R5.

Weitering for Young
Marchbank for Kemp
Hollands for Fantasia/Durdin

Not my preference but wonder if Marchbank for Boyd is a possibility. Gov can play small and we have gone this way before.

Hollands for Durdin seems obvious. The big question is who gets relegated to sub. Based on team balance it could be any of Fanta, Cunners, Fog, Hollands himself or maybe even Kennedy or Carroll (if we switch Kennedy mid with hollands taking his forward spot).

Could even go Kemp if he's dropped for Marchbank. A bit of a risk if we lose a runner but provides cover for both the key backs returning from injury.
