Exciting to see Harry so quickly reinvent himself into the traditional workhorse CHF so quickly this year - reminds me of N.Riewoldt.

Also exciting to see H regularly listed not just in the top KMs run, but in the top few for speed.

Also, despite their similar athletic attributes, Harry is a much better footballer than Ben.
Would be interesting to see the McKays play on each other but guess that will never happen

Corey Durdin and Jesse Motlop, 36 and 33 games, still learning the craft and developing AFL ready bodies. No real rush for these two, icing on the cake if they can develop quicker.
I still look through the lens of the Betts Garlett Yarra era which makes it harder to be patient.
Jesse has started to show something. Unfortunate he is injured. Corey hasn't had a great run with injury but shows real promise. Plenty of unrealised potential in these two.

I'm excited for today. Freo's defence is no joke and will really test our forwards good form.

I really rate Alex Pearce and hope Big H gives him a bath.
Sure but their second KPD? Draper - 2 gamer. 197cm, 92kg.

Ryan - 186cm.

Aish, Walker, Clark? Meh.

Would love to see 3 or 4 goals from Elijah.

And we know what we'll get from Matty Owies.

Their forwards:

Jackson - 199cm
Taberner - 198cm
Amiss - 196cm
Treacy - 195cm.

Jackson playing 1st ruck presently.

Amiss the pick of the other three.

Win the midfield battle and that immediately reduces the impact of their forwards....

Kemp has been spoken of (by Walshy)_ as being 195cm...

Still think Kemp will be a gun.... whether as a KPD, 3rd defender or as a utility.

And for sure, he needs to bulk up if he wants to play KPD....

Freo? Meh.

Rd 3 - beat a strangely out of sorts Crows by 5 goals - anyone who watched Q2 and Q3 of that game would not say the Dockers are playing good footy.

Rd 2 - beat North by 4 goals, but North mauled them for nearly a half.

Rd 1 - beat the underwhelming Lions by 4 goals in Perth. After kicking the first 4 goals, the Lions wilted badly....

My thoughts exactly. Feel like if we play at our best it should be a very comfortable win.

Adelaide Oval curse is my only concern

I’m more surprised we’ve only played 7 times there than we’ve never won, Melbournes played there 17 times and the next closest to us is 11 times.

Think our SA blues brothers are getting stitched up big time

I think the Club has a deliberate (and long-standing) preference for Perth, and that in the fixturing argy-bargy each year, we tell the AFL that we're happy to play in Perth twice as long as we only go to Adelaide once - you only need to look at our road trips over the last 10 years. I suspect no other Victorian club makes this request, so the AFL accommodates us, year after year after year.

If we dont finally win at AO I will have to assume the team constantly makes the mistake of drinking the local tap water

I love that now losing someone as capable as Marchbank results in someone as capable as Kemp coming in.

Outside of our top 5, we have interchangeable guns down to our 35th or so player

We can’t replace Weiters, Curnow, McKay, Walsh or Cripps. However, many of our other players are interchangeable. It’s a really good spot to be in.

Even with the 5 you mention, their output is covered somewhat cumulatively by multiple players rather than by straight replacement.

Depth and buy-in. Awesome.

I never drink our tap water. It's disgusting.
Am on tram to the SA Supporters function. Am nervous but excited.
Waiting for first win at Adelaide Oval. Beautiful sunny day here.
Go Blues

What's going on in your building o_O

Apparently some nimrod had blown up a lithium battery scooter on 12, & they’ve evacuated the whole building.

…..except for me & my 81 year old friend. We’re staying put on the Mighty 14th floor.😎👍

Hope you, bestie, Stig and all the other Adelaide based Carlton supporters get the win Neese. Open them floodgates.

Could do a similar write up for our form, although our display against Norf was very professional, far better than anything we have seen from Freo.

They are winning games and learning how to win exactly like we are/have. They have just as much talent as we do. I think our experience across the park will get us over the line by a comfortable 4-5 goals but I am not willing to completely discount them as you have. Mids will need to be on their A game and our forwards won’t have it as easy as last week.
