The Swans look an extremely fit side, only halfway through the season but they are going to take some beating for the flag.

If we can manage to string some wins together and be in finals contention at the time our Round 19 clash with the Swans at the Gabba should be a beauty.

True but i think the Bombers are a false top two side.
I can see them slipping to 6th quite easily with a few rounds still to play.
But at present they have the premiership points on the board unlike us Lions.

Essenson needs to finish top four so they can lose two finals and keep their days-since-Essendon-last-won-a-final steak alive ... not to mention how much it would warm the cockles of many a non-Essendon surporters heart!

They seem to be 3rd quarter specialists right now, doesn't matter who the opposition is they put the foot in the second half. Will be interesting if they can keep this up for the whole season.

How ironic would it be in round 24 if it came to us vs them for a finals spot and we barely make finals by beating them whilst simultaneously denying them finals

Like watching Brisbane for the first half of the season. I’m getting frustrated just watching Essendon and i really really don’t like them!

Carlton's structure collapses under pressure.
Essendon are either rocks or diamonds and have no structure forward of the ball. Just the package trying to kick 1 in 1,000 goals every time instead of centering the ball.

You would then presume the saints would be on 7-10 goals or something wouldn't you (well i would) but NO saints are on 4 goals at half time. Shocking. Suns should have won that game.

Hard to believe after the Cats 7-0 start to the season and our 0-3 start that we are only 10 points behind them with a game in hand.

Watching Pies v Dees. Pies severely undermanned, though Petracca injured. Pies 5 goals up at half time. Have to admit I am impressed with Pies spirit. Dees providing a fair impression of a rabble.

In the unlikely event we make the finals I would much prefer to face a full strength Dees than full strength Pies. So on that basis I hope Dees come back.
