Is Matthew Nicks the right coach for Adelaide?

  • Firmly yes (I love what I'm seeing)

  • Leaning yes

  • Can't decide either way

  • Leaning no (but don't sack him yet)

The concern is who are they going to bring on the board with football experience? None of the other board members have it. Bring on Jammo and that’s the last straw.

Roo reaches his 10 year cap early next year, so I believe his time at the club will be ending.
Okay...

But as a true club champion, servant and hero, he can leave now and make one more "sacrifice" for the club.

Roo staying until paper license extinguishers him is like resigning Brodie Smith for another year... because, once again, of a piece of paper.

It's only my gut feel but I think this "review" will end many a career at Adelaide.

Until then, there's cricket on😜

Plenty of people have football experience, it’s not just about that, it’s about personality & character types.

If you look at the current board, there’s a mix of corporate & government experience, in law, marketing, politics, finance, media and football.

If you knew nothing about the candidates and just looked at their experience on paper, you’d think it had the potential to be a competent board.

But it aint. Because it’s about more than your CV.

So anyone hears any inside goss on what they discussed for 4 hours last night...
They were trying to understand Nicks post match pressers and gameplan. Surely they came to the conclusion that Nicks doesn't have a gameplan other than destroying young players careers.

'When you take out time lost for centre bounces and other stoppages, the five Swans goals were kicked in just three minutes and 28 seconds of game time.'

Just after Nicks specifically called it out as an issue, his team has no answers whatsoever.
And then he bullshitted that the margin blew out in the last when they went for the win. Last quarter was 4-1, hardly a blow out with Hinge giving away a goal.

He’s a dodgy used car salesman that the media and gullible fall for.

You can pick holes in everything he says. Like the week before he said we’ve lost the ability to take the game on, hmm, maybe that’s because you spent all preseason slowing them up. Then if that’s the issue, why then after the Sydney game has he stated we opened it up going for the win. What was the instruction for the previous 3 quarters?

How can you "go for the win" when it is a one way procession in the midfield by the opposition?

That was the biggest midfield smashing since that Demons game in 2011.

Honestly it would have slowed them up if we'd just sent everyone back and conceded the 6-6-6 violation free kick.

Some fairly shallow analysis on our list, but first time I've seen someone in the media suggest Buckley as a coaching option for us, I like.
Eddie & Bartell floated it on their show last week "should Bucks go to Adelaide or Tasmania"

No, his time on the board ends, that is all.

He can still be there as Footy Director.

And thank god I’ve got the Olympics to occupy my time from the end of July for a few weeks. Might even watch the Para Olympics.
