It's a couple of rungs below U18 Champs level, but good to see him getting some footy and hopefully building some confidence.
Haven't drawn a line through his name...yet!
I wonder if he played mid or more forward?Lalor got BOG and kicked 2.
I'll go out on a limb here and say we will never know.I wonder if he played mid or more forward?
Cal Twomey suggested we could trade Baker and Bolton to Fremantle for picks 6, 12, 15, and then Dan Rioli to Gold Coast for picks 7 and 10 (we'd likely have to give a sweetener back the other way).
How would people feel about this? I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Rocking up to the draft with 1, 6, 7, 10, 12, 15 plus possibly a couple of second rounders, that's a crazy start to a rebuild.
You changed your mind pretty quick.I wouldn't think so.
Maybe.
Dionne. Great soul singerWarwick.
11 ? Will turn into 18GC pick #6 is looking really juicy to me
Rioli for #6 + #11
Draper , Lalor would be a really nice double
No good at fingergateOsteoporosis setting in early.
Might snap off in thereNo good at fingergate
Hugh remmington would be happy
8-12What pick do we expect Murphy Reid to go?
Just trying to give you the answer you wanted. You changed your mind pretty quick.
14 at latest, if St Kilda get Band 1 compo for Battle.11 ? Will turn into 18
I have him at 5-8. Many draft analysts have him Top 10 but I've also seen him out in the teens. He's a terrific player no doubt about that. What pick do we expect Murphy Reid to go?
The old excuse I was having a shower and fell on itMight snap off in there
Dogs are winning the flag8-12

6 effective disposals
Where do you get these? And what were Lalors?
The FOS extremists won't like that.
Maybe the Christian brothers were there making him nervous6 effective disposals
I know he's underdone, is he normally more polished than that?
Guy got voted 2nd best. Those stats are surely not accurate.6 effective disposals

does seem odd at that level.Guy got voted 2nd best. Those stats are surely not accurate.
No you draft based on what they have showed from U16's through to their last game of U18's with the view of how well that will translate. Which when fit FOS showed last year why he was the no.1 player in this draft and we can use those performances against the other draftees who have been able to get on the track and perform this year. Like the game below for example.
You weren't talking about our pick 1, you were talking about 2024 performances and I named 5 guys who have arguably performed better. Smilie has gone from being overrated to being underrated very quickly, his Coates league form was very good, he played well vs VFL sides for the AFL academy and while he is champs was underwhelming that in part had to do with the amount of hype he had in the lead up.
I think we will be looking for outside midfielders to rotate through and to complement TT and Hopper. Langord and Lombard seem ideal. Maybe we could force a pick swap with GC in return for bidding on Ashcroft first and Langford second and not bidding on Lombard. Jagga Smith seems unlikely to still be available at our second pick unfortunately. Who would still be available at the start of the second round.Would you use pick 1 on him ?
It’s all opinion based and how much improvement you think he has in him, so it’s a fair bit of crystal balling from all of us.
I think it’s a good bet that he’s going to be a very good AFL player and you could argue it’s a safe bet to take him at one, but imo there’s more dynamic options with greater upside.
Also, he’ll get monstered at AFL level, you see the size of AFL mids today, even the shorter mids have body mass/strength.
