Much was expected of Day-Wicks entering 2024, but his season has been a mixed bag to this stage. He has bags of talent and x-factor, a powerful athlete and a great size for the medium forward or midfield roles, but he's mercurial and prone to patches in games where he disappears. A solid close to the season could see him fly up draft boards given his attributes.

This game was a bit of a mess given the rain bucketing down which turned the field into a mud heap, but Day-Wicks cut the game open at times. Unfortunately the classic Talent League "Technical Difficulties" lost us a chunk of the fourth quarter including one of his goals.

Was this worthy of posting? Day-wicks looked like absolute plodder.

I think we will be looking for outside midfielders to rotate through and to complement TT and Hopper. Langord and Lombard seem ideal. Maybe we could force a pick swap with GC in return for bidding on Ashcroft first and Langford second which would discount the points GC would need for Lombard. Jaffa Smith seems unlikely to still be available at our second pick unfortunately. Who would still be available at the start of the second round.

I hope we have a look at a tall at the start of the second round.

*Ofcourse if there’s a slider that we rate then grab him.

Few talls to consider
Faull, Shanahan, Whitlocks, OFarrell ,Mraz ( haven’t seen him but rated by plenty).Armstrong likely gone, but if by some chance he does slip then he’d be my first choice.

I don't know mate you tell me. I just post stuff on team boards for the fan groups that I think are keyed into the draft and keen to know what's out there in the pool.

If the consensus for your board is that you don't want to see content from kids outside of the first round then just let me know and I won't post them here. No harm no foul.

From a needs and list management point of view

Pick 1 High impact Mid possibly Drapper
Pick 2 Tall forward Armstrong/Shannahan/Whitlock/Faull
Pick 3 Langford/Travaglia
Pick 4 Berry

Not against you posting, however, do you actually view them first? Day-wicks could hardly get a touch.

In a year when we should be heavily invested in the draft your videos give a great insight into some of the lesser known players.

Do I actually view them?? I make them.

I'm not sure 23 disposals from a forward qualifies as "hardly a touch".
Keep posting please.
I like your stuff.

Agree Draper does look good but he doesn't fit in to the type of midfield group I would hope we build for the next premiership tilt.

What our 2017 to 2020 side showed me is you need to be different from the norm with the overall make up of the team.

Recruit best of type you want for future side not best available of anything .

For The record I don't think Yze will have a vision of the future side and will just make do with what ever random recruiting he is given .
Enlighten us with your premiership midfield make up

He will kick six this week.
The North equivalent of Dusty re-signing for us just before our finals run in 2017

Don’t necessarily disagree, but the issue with any major finger injury is that most Doc’s will often state that no strenuous activity should be undertaken to ensure the finger is kept as stable as possible and not lead to additional injuries. This includes running and a fair chunk of conditioning activities. Certainly was the advice I received on multiple occasions with ny multitude of finger issues.

Additionally, even once recovered it can often take a while to get confident in that anything you do want re-injure it again.

My main take away from those games was how unclean he was when prior to those games he was comfortably the number one player in the draft for being clean. Which that can easily be put down to a lack of touch due to the finger injury.
