Chad Warner
When the Sydney Swans swept up Chad Warner with pick 39 at the 2019 AFL Draft, they secured a youngster with an insatiable appetite for the contest. Warner attacks the ball and opponents with aggression and is relishing calling midfield bulls Josh Kennedy and Luke Parker his teammates at the Swans. Warner impressed for Western Australia in the 2019 AFL Under-18 Championships, averaging 18.2 touches (50 per cent contested), 3.2 clearances and 6.8 tackles per game. He also tallied an average of 27.1 disposals, 6.4 clearances and 7.4 tackles per match at Colts level for East Fremantle in 2019. He earned his AFL debut against Richmond in Round 6 of the 2020 season, recording eight disposals and two tackles.

Chad Warner
DOB: 19 May 2001
DEBUT: 2020
DRAFT: #39, 2019 National Draft
RECRUITED FROM: Willetton (WA)/Aquinas College (WA)/East Fremantle (WAFL)

Pick 8 for Battle lol
Free agency compensation is completely broken and it's laughable the way that the AFL has allowed it to be exploited for years for clubs to get compensation that doesn't match the value of the outgoing player.

It should be similar to academy/FS where the club has to match the value of the compensation with draft points, perhaps with a slight discount. As it stands, every time there's a FA move, the 16 clubs that aren't involved are effectively chipping in to get the deal over the line by having their draft hand weakened. It's a farce.

Genuine question - what makes you think that his girlfriend is happy to stay in Sydney?

Last report I read said one of the reasons he’s likely to go back is because his girlfriend wants to go back.
I've been told his GF wants to head back to Perth.

And honestly, if you're Chad and this lass says "honey, I want to go back to Perth" ... what are you gonna do?

Boys boys I know how we can keep the chad.

Can someone please get some dirty on his missy so they will break up

If no request come this year, given the draft picks wce have , a well run club only allow him to play on here next year if there was a reasonable belief he will stay long term.

They could absolutely get pick 3 and 13 or whatever it ends up being from wce this year. That is a huge bounty to turn down when we won’t get close to that next year.

If he doesn’t request this year I’m not convinced it’s a certainty he will next year. This club like any has a lot of flaws, but poorly run is not one of them
