Reported that Richmond flew over to WA to talk to him in the past week. Wouldn't have done that unless we were seriously considering him and the talk was we were even a chance at grabbing him at #7.

Talk was he wasn't slipping past Melbourne at #11 if we didn't grab. Then they didn't grab him. Then we pass on him at #12 and #14. 2 teams said to be very keen on him passed 5 combined times = he must have told them or given strong indication that he wants to be in WA longeretm.

There is going to be some godfather offers for tonight first pick. WC, ESS, STK, HAW, GWS & PA (Port dont have any picks that excite us in the slightest).

My ideal hypothetical is:

Slide pick 28 for WC pick 30 and the Hawks F2 that WC own. Then 30 for Hawks F1

That hypothetical could scare Ess to give us the Melb F1 they have and pick 37 for our 28. Use 37 on Hamish Davis (to be a tall winger) or Jack Ough

But there are so many possible combos, i do like the unlikely gaining of two future picks from 28. Then we can be knee deep in trading for Harley Reid next year and still having normal Pick 1 for Sharp. With my first hypo, I have no issue giving up North 2025 F1, Hawks 2025 F1 and our future 2026 pick to get Harley (queue the haters for wasted draft picks)
