My uneducated guess is that they want to get the balance right so he doesn’t go to hard and get a set back or reinjure. If I remember correctly JDG came back fit last year, but I wonder if he over did it at times in a bid to be super fit and take his game to a new level. Adding a structured program at the start of the preseason to overcome a physical vulnerability sounds wonderful. Along with his good attitude, going to set him up for his best year yet!
