Yeah the NFL already know the Cinci-Pitt game result will be a Cinci win. So that will put pressure on Broncos and Dolphins who will know that result.

It was a smart decision
Hope that game is a scoreless tie

Screw you both

😝

So what is it?

If Broncos win they are in?
If Broncos lose and Bengals win Bengals are in?
If both the Broncos and Bengals lose and Dolphins win they get in?
This wrong obviously. Bengals need both the Broncos and Dolphins to lose to make it looking at the playoff %'s

He was dreadful, but that’s really dreadful.

Some bad play calls, but nothing too egregious. He just sucked.

Eg

Oh and he capped off the second interception with a personal foul penalty on the defender that made the pick (Benford).
So add a minus 15 yards

One spanking of the hapless Browns is definitely needed.

I hope you enjoy trading the first pick for some other equally as useless magic beans.
The spread for the game is like -18 points or something, 😂 don't think I've seen one that big for a while in a divisional matchup.

Maybe it's just cause I like left handed QBs but geez Penix throws a good ball, tight spiral, lots of zip. Hasn't put up any great numbers in his first two games but hasn't done much wrong either, calm in the pocket, you can absolutely see the talent and him becoming a quality NFL QB.

Or how about a professional defense do their job?

If you are unable to prevent the opponent from taking the ball and jamming it down your throat

You lose

This isn’t college
This isn’t high school

Do your damn job

Personally I think it was egregious they allow you to get ball back after fg

But I will allow we are now a participation trophy world, so no going back to how it always was until offended teams started crying losing to a fg “isn’t fair”
I don't mind the FG one now, especially when you can get such free yardage from a kick-off now.

But yeah, if you can't stop a TD drive, then you don't deserve the ball back.

Can’t believe so many people are against the OT rules. If my team didn’t get the ball and can’t defend one possession without a touchdown getting scored then you don’t deserve to win. You had a whole game to beat the other side. Don’t blame it on not getting the ball when the defense wasn’t good enough to make one stop at the end.

Yeah but there’s a reason each team gets a possession to start a half.

Every team has strength and weknessess, some stronger on O than D and vice versa. Don’t think it’s fair that one team may get to use their advantage.

I hope Davante Adams is happy.
The Jets used void years to lower their cap costs in 2024 - but this created dead cap hits in 2025 for at least six players - TE Conklin ($5.9 million), CB D.J. Reed ($4.6 million), Edge Reddick ($4.3 million), DT Kinlaw ($4.4 million), OL Ty Smith ($3.6 million) and OL Schweitzer ($900,000).

Note they traded both Reddick AND Ty Smith in - neither have really added much except the dead cap hits and the lost picks.

El Jetos also get a further $5.9 million cap hit in 2025 from Mike Williams contract, EVEN THOUGH THEY TRADED HIM AWAY ALREADY this season.

AND IT DOESN'T END THERE!

On top of the 29.6 million already smacking them as dead cap in 2025, Jets management need to decide what to do with
Rodgers ($49 million dead cap hit),
C.J. Mosley ($16.4 million),
Davante Adams ($8.4 million) and
Allen Lazard ($6.6 million).

Up to a further $80.4 million cap hit if all 4 go (yes some of it might be deferred to 2026 if one or two are post-June 1 cuts).

Who would keep all 4?

The rules are geared towards offense these days, it is simply ridiculous to have a game come down to a coin flip - if it were fair/even chance for the D to win by making a stop then teams would elect to defer the ball in OT after winning the coin toss at least some of the time. That never happens, for obvious reasons.

On the OT rules - saying the defense should make a stop is fair enough, except the modern rules are so weighted in favour of offense that it’s now an enormous disadvantage rather than a slight disadvantage for the other team to get the ball first.

And the league know it too, because they’ve been forced to change it for playoffs. So why wouldn’t they change it for regular season games too? That’s potentially cost Atlanta a playoff spot and is a significant sliding door for the NFC with Green Bay possibly in the 7th seed now.

It doesn’t affect me personally either way this season at least, but it’s simply a stupid way of deciding how a pretty important game finishes imo. Plus it’s just unsatisfying as a general fan of the sport.
