This issue has filled me with a rage that cannot be fathomed. The stupidity is piled so high on the ignorance nobody can see the shit they are standing in anymore.
That a gutsy and skilful footballer like Thomas has been tarred with this brush is nothing less than shameful. Even worse is that...
The 'ducking' free paid against Thomas was travesty that should have the football media hanging their heads in shame. Absolutely disgraceful that a player should be hung drawn and quartered in the media in this fashion and even worse that the umpires buy into it.
Shitful.
Great win.
Stats tell the story.
Win overall possession
Win contested possession
Win clearances
Lose inside fifties.
We have to get better at moving the ball.
Other than that, very happy with the win!
I agree with this. Patch has played some blistering 30+ touch games with heaps of run and hard tackling but we have seen far more shocking games of running without direction and missed tackles. With the side we have right now I just don't see him being able to trade on the hope anymore.
Tell this to the Swans, Hawks and Geelong.
I totally understand what you are saying and the natural lifecycle of footy demands a fall down the ladder eventually. A run at the top can be sustained for a bloody long time though, as the above clubs have shown.
I guess it's just the speed that...

The AFL has approved for the club and the player to agree to void a contract and then shift as a free agent. Since the afl will tell us what...
Should we doing what the bombers* are considering with Ryder and voiding his contract to allow him to move as a free agent? If we get band 1, which we may then it would land us the pick we are looking for. Thoughts?
Starting to wonder if we are strategically pushing him out and seeing what we get offered. Maybe the club will up the offer if we can't get what we percieve to be full value.
We won what, six in a row coming into tonight game, for the first time ever under Scott. Anyone who thinks the squad hasn't grown over the last two months of footy has rocks in their head.
They were fresher, more experienced and have two million dollar forwards. Tough ask of a squad with two...
