We seem to be the only ones who think he's worth more than one poxy second-rounder at best.

And yet everyone (the list manager Wallet and all the other ''experts'' on SEN) all agree that Christensen is worth an early first rounder. Is he THAT bloody good compared with our ex-boy?
lol norf :sternlook

Bundy is comfortably the better footballer, IMO.

I don't know if I agree with the local pundits calling him the second-best inside midfielder at the Cats (behind Selwood). I think Caddy's better.

I think he's worth about pick 20. He's not contracted, so we won't get overs but had strong interest from bullies (and more $$ by all accounts) and with the threat of not lasting past the doggies 2nd in the ND or the doggies first in the PSD we won't be getting massive unders.
Lions and pies 2nds for LG and our second ( so essentially 25 and a 5 pick upgrade in the 2nd) seems about right?

Should we doing what the bombers* are considering with Ryder and voiding his contract to allow him to move as a free agent? If we get band 1, which we may then it would land us the pick we are looking for. Thoughts?

Considering the contract Levi is being offered this is definitely something we should be looking at. This could be a one time thing before they rule this isn't allowed in the future.

We just seem to do it the hard way.

Dal Santo great get, but not purely FA has we got unders for Luke.
Richardson pick 35, freo get mzungu fir minor pick upgrade.
Father son, great player, highest ever draft pick for father son.
Hamish leaves average pick. (I know salary cap benefits)
Hale leaves for pick 26
Near fare value but no great win for north.
Levi leaves 1.8 million contract. Talks start at 2nd rd.

The humanity.

If we got hold off hawks first pick we'd have Atley and smith.
Yep uh uh

Wierd also that Hawthorn opt to pass on Curran so we pounce amd he retirees without hardly kicking a ball in anger. Stay. The **** away from hawks and their cast aways. SirriBloodywho's?

Would gibbo get a game with them?

He was drafted at pick 32 for a start and I would like to see where he rates out of that draft. Top 12 easy id say therefore we should be getting a pick between 10 and 20. I think other picks are going to have to be swapped to get it done.

No we sign Levi to new contract and then when the ink is dry. BAM!!

We agree to part company and we get end if first rd comp.

And keep doing it with every hack , spud and general shitman.

Afl is a ****en farce

First year player came in played a meaningful role in a team that ended top 4.

Hard at it and loves the club and is a leader at 19.

If we'd had pick 2 and had to spend it on Luke he'd still be worth it.

He was never going in the second round his first year shows why.

Should trade him to doggies for higgins compo. This picking clubs is another farce. I'd players want FA they should then be forced into trades that shuit the club when not free agents or out of contract

Will concede that Turner was a massive 'Free hit'. Hats off to ziebell Snr.

Have I missed something here?

He got offered $1M by North. What is he supposed to do, say "Yeah nah look, don't quite think I'm worth it." He probably had full intention of playing AFL footy but couldn't quite crack the team.

Don't hate on him for wanting financial security :(
He had financial security, we were paying him 1M to play VFL footy. How about a bit of payback for the club that stuck with you through lean times and paid you well at the same time?

I'm not angry at Levi. Can't be.

I thought he should have 40 or 50 more games under his belt, had he been gifted matches to 'develop' in 11/12/13 like so many others on the list did. For whatever reason, he had to languish in the seconds and prove that he earned every second of a senior match.

Which at face value sounds fair enough, but what's good for one is good for another surely.

Anyway, he had one great year when finally given that chance. And after we offered not a lot, and then revised it to a better offer (but less than another club), he's decided to capitalise and get what's best for him.

It hurts to say this, but good luck to him.

I don't for a second think that he would have been squeezed out of our midfield, and he was probably the main positive I took out of 2014. That's why it kills me. But four years on that coin, you cannot blame the guy. It sets him up. And people saying 'Oh, one good year and he thinks he's worth XXXX, let's see him back it up' - I don't undertand that logic.

If he can't back it up and walks home still with 1.8 million, good luck to him. The market dictates what he's worth. If someone wants to pay it, that's his value. Take it and run. He'd remember well the many times he busted his a*** only to get dropped a week later.

He was one of the few throwing himself at the contest while the team finished a glorious 10th every year. And he's the one who found himself on the outer?

....

Having said all that, I don't blame the club at the moment either. They presented to him what they thought he was worth at the time, and have been trumped by a Collingwood side losing players at a rate of knots. They could afford him, they need to start again. We're about to start a tilt at a flag. How do you keep everyone?

Best of luck Levi, makes me sick to see you in black and white, understand why you did it. I'll say again - if the fear was that you'd be squeezed out, I don't think you would have been.

You never should have been, and even at half of this years' form, wont be at the Pies.

**** this, but good luck.
