Discussion on trade radio today highlighting the fact that star ruckmen dont equal premierships. Dean Cox was probably the last and before him you're going back to Simon Madden. Simply put, the premiership teams (even those dynasty teams) aren't lead by a star ruckman.
Grundys a gun, so is Gawn...
In 2017 specifically, injury was a significant reason for youth playing from memory.
In 2018 it was the first time in all the seasons he's coached that he actively played youth.
Does McGovern just roll straight in after being banished for poor form, poor health and not applying the right attitude? I'd think a week in the 2s would be more appropriate?!
Don't be fooled by the disposal efficiency number. Lots of contested footy is what he wins. His numbers are comparable to some of the top flight midfielders in the AFL (namely Taranto and Coniglio) albeit at a WAFL level.
He's 100% an inside mid at Subiaco. Won't surprise me to see him alternate as a half forward.
Has a hammy tweak so won't play 2wks.
Is flying out of Perth tomorrow so should be around the club in the next day or 2.
Embrace him Blues fans, he'll be a great clubman and will find the footy..
Stats...
Thanks for the support bud, Josh has worked very hard at another crack and Carlton is about as good as any landing spot to display his skill set. Hopefully he can impress them.
It's significantly improved from that 2014 highlights package. Josh is alot bigger now too.
Anyone who has watched Subiaco play the last 2yrs can attest to that.
