You could possibly throw in a Ross Hillary (Yack), Ross Hedley (Yack/Saints), Peter Copley (Holbrook when they were in the comp), Robbie Mackinaly (Holbrook) and Brett Harrison (Saints and Tallangatta)..... Plenty to choose from here!!!!!!!
So the run home is well truly and on....
Top 5 is set but will the order change?????? Who is the side outside the 5 that can shape it?
What was the final wash up of the Beggs incident from Thurgoona?
So not a happy Beechworth camp one would assume!!!!!!!!!! Obviously behaviour related..... If this is the case nice to see a country club setting the standard on these off field issues...........
Whisper is Mark Sarau is the favourite to coach Barny next year........ Any truth in this?
Happened to be an interested on looker at the game on Saturday and it was a very physical clash to say the least.
If the way Durbidge was treated was the same as how Beggs from Mitta was treated then no wonder he knocked a blokes teeth out.
Going to give credit to Jack, Brian and the team at...
Should be a Thurgoona, Mitta, Kiewa, Chiltern, Barny finish to the season.....
Haven't yet watched Thurgoona or Barny this season but the Dogs seem to be tracking along very nicely.
Mitta just keep on as strong as ever. Not an overly tall side but plenty of good ball movers across the park. If...
Obviously you didn't have any intelligent answers to respond with............ Just goes to show with your user name!!!!!!!
Someone should bring back Jack54 to bring some wit and intelligence back to the thread.
Obviously not!!!!!!
What are the thoughts on the season so far?
Log jam at the top of the table with Thurgoona out in front as expected. A few questions, are the swans the real deal? Will Yack find some consistancy and be a top 5 contender? Has Terry Burgess started off on the right track...
Coleman clearence from all reports denied last night. Storm in a tea cup. Will stay with the Swans for remainder of the season.
Nixon is the Whorouly tie in for Anderson. Has been playing there for a few years now and was previous to that a Barny boy through and through.
Well the Swans are tracking along very nicely. Will be a good indicator for them playing Mitta at Eskdale this week. Although Mitta maybe sluggish after only starting training mid January as per usual.
Nice to see the Saints a tad more competitive this year after a few tough years.. Yack also...
Are you for real with Vandersluys in a fast skillful side?????
Mitta will drop right off this year and won't make the 5 if they don't pull their fingers out!!!!
My top 5 in no particular order:
Thurgoona
Barnawatha
Chiltern
Kiewa
Yackandandah
Barton Medal:
D. O'Neill...
The ruckman is from Albury I believe.
Not a good move by the jindera boys if they are still contracted. What is happening at Thurgoona? Have heard that Donnan and Kannenberg have both pulled the pin and not returning. Heard they had also spent huge dollars last year to finish runners up... Are...
Finances???
Are the police involved? Am assuming it's a substantial amount if players are walking out...
It's hard enough to raise money as it is let alone have it go missing if this is the case.... Any more whispers on recruiting? Word has it Chiltern have signed an O & M ruckman to go with...
The Hub run evertything TDFL now. Ken Barnes and Ross Williams have nothing to do with it. How can u run a league when you are 100 + kms down the road. Just get it out and we dont have to woory about a thing. It's a joke ! At least the others knew something about the league. Just like they didnt...
The draw has been a debacle to say the least.... Was supposed to be out at the AGM and never happened.
Hume League draw been out for three weeks and the O&M before that.
Why is it taking so long?
Obviously our friend NOP is not to concerned with integrity now that the shoe is on the other foot. Kirk would no doubt be gutted but I would say that the Swans will be moving forwards and not looking back. I dare say like any other club that has had a player go back on their word they won't...
as for the chiltern coach not being happy, recon he'd be quite the opposite, sounds as though they have recruited ok, better than the last few years. and they have some kids from last years thirds side that could step up so where do you draw the line.
Good point off the bench- where do you...
Would have thought you would be referring too Scott Amery. Didn't play many if any senior games at both clubs. If you haven't signed someone by now surely things must be dire as I would have thought clubs would be considering starting training within the next fortnight.
Any news from Kiewa...
Both Heta and Nichol would be more then useful recruits if true........
Heta would be handy in the TDFL and would certainly Barny imporve on last year.
Nichol would certainly be another string in the Chiltern bow. Would be great for the Durbidge, Wilson signings plus the ones that have...
Might go some of the way to replacing your Donnan and Kannenberg types that the rumour mill is saying sre not heading back.......
Surely if you are a Saints or Hoppers man you must be getting worried about 2012.. Almost mid November and no coaching appointments as yet.
With most O&M clubs...
Had a non playing coach lined up but had to leave the area due to work commitments, word has it. Be interested to know more about this non playing coach at Tallangatta. Why leave it so late to sign him?
Tim Seymour was a gun in his days at Saints. He would be a handy pick up for any...
If McKimmie doesn't have the time to get onto the recruiting wouldn't that be a good time for the assistant coach to step up and help him out..... Am assuming that Storey has signed on again and with a lot of time playing in the O&M would have a good list of contacts to utilise!!!!!!
Word from south of the border is that Aaron Boyle is looking at an overseas jaunt to play cricket with an English side in 2012.
That would make 6 from the premiership side this year if I am not mistaken.
Would have thought that this would vary from club to club dramatically.
Depending on calibre of juniors and locals that a competitve side should be on the park for well under $100K.
Great signing by Jack and the Chiltern boys in landing Kirk Wilson as assistant coach. With Brian Durbidge on...
What a great signing by Jack and the team at Chiltern.... That is two quality players after the announcement of their coach from the GV League (Brian Durbidge).
Word has it that Dane O'Neill (2011 Coach), Tim Lamb (2011 Assistant Caoch) and Cameron Cassidy (2011 Captain) have all signed on for...
