    Discussion Political Correctness

I find that if i cant succinctly, accurately explain myself it is best not to comment, because I dont want to lump people together innaccurately. That is why I never tat people with "right" and "left".

    Discussion Political Correctness

Yes, but what makes a view or action leftist or rightist in your opinion ?

    Discussion Political Correctness

Depends what you mean by "left"- such a vague term for so many different interest groups who don't even agree with each other. The term "right" is the same. Please give a detailed definition of what you actually mean.

Opinion Carlton's 2020 Leadership Group Announced Post 47

Yes. Bolts was hired in part because he could teach.. As a teacher myself I know it takes time for students lightbulbs to flash. I reckon his teaching will be bearing fruit for years. We were lucky to have him when we did. The rewards will come.

Of course it does raise questions about the character of the Danish settlers who founded Danniverke in the North Island. Investigating Joh's roots could be interesting.

I absolutely did. Flew down to Wellington for that. That was, I think, one of our higher scores that year ( 18.13). It was freezing- Wellington is much colder than Auckland. I was only in a club polo as well. Crippa played one if his first really good games that day.

Well yes. Hello from West Auckland in New Zealand. Im a devotee of Carlton who visits Aussie every year, or very nearly, to watch Carlton. Im an international member since it was introduced. Ive followed Carlton since about 1978. Naturally a Warren Jones enthusiast since he was born here...

Resource List thread - Inaccuracy in official records

Wow you are right. Ive never noticed that before ! Unfortunately AFL 2001 ( the season guide) fails to even give ladders after each round of 2000 results so I will have to trawl around the internet to cross check this. Remarkable !

If that is the Official AFL Yearbook for 2000, published by Viking, then in fact Rounds Five and Nine are accurate. Pages 57 and 77.

    Carlton supporter in Auckland

Local residents in Grey Lynn are so Bolshie its astounding the Speedway has survived. Yep it was Geelong. The promoter of the 1991 game, Will McKenzie, still lives in Sandringham, Auckland. He evidently is still into footy as well. I saw him several years back at the Docklands i think.
