Put Binns’s performance into perspective, he should not be playing seniors in front of anyone previously mentioned.
Good signs though, when he builds his core strength he’s going to be a player.
At the end of the day, two decent teams battled it out for four quarters and we were on the wrong side of the ledger. There’s many moments in a game that contribute to the result, none more than Harry pinpointing the Collingwood player in the middle of 3 Blues.
But f.. me, Lewis Young’s attempt...
We can’t take too much away from this one as it was ‘match simulation’.
The coaches would have been trying different things and manipulating scenario’s that they wanted to practice.
They could have instructed the mids to concede clearances to simulate repeat entries ect.
Next week will be a...
Wow this is tough. It’s really going to come down to how the coaches want to play and what they prioritise in certain positions.
The unquestionable locks. These blokes are playing in a specific position even if they are carrying something. Not up for debate.

Just because Walsh is a gun runner, doesn’t mean he’s a wingman.
The wing can be a self sacrificing role at times. We don’t want Walsh sacrificing his game..he’s a Roles Royce.
It just doesn’t seem necessary. We have a strong midfield that bats deep and is proven, and Kemp showed massive signs as a defender. If it ain’t broken…
It’s business time in FY24, we are well past trying to shoehorn 1st round draft picks into sexy positions.
All of the crafts, given Kemp has never played there.
Not necessarily suggesting it’s Kennedy in and Kemp out. The core midfield group is Cripps, Walsh, Cerra and one of Hewitt and Kennedy (whoever is in form) with Cunningham, Fogarty and Docherty chipping in. Hollands and Acres play the wings
Does Walsh to the wing work? I’ve seen it mentioned a lot but
1. Do we want Walsh playing outside of the contest and
2. Is Walsh capable of sacrificing his game out there if required?
I think if it’s going to be anyone it’s got to be Doc chopping in with Acres and Cotters playing there...
Agree with all of that, especially the defensive pressure point. He is the only player I can think of that consistently does not aggressively attack the man with the ball, he generally sits back and semi corrals allowing the opponent to easily dispose of it. Even Fisher is doing it since he’s...
That effort by Dow was disgusting. Didn’t attack Lukosius and then didn’t go at Miller hard enough which left Lukosius free for an easy outlet. It’s his biggest flaw and I imagine is the core reason why he hasn’t been picked all year.
I haven’t watched enough of the other teams to make a call, but based on what I’ve seen he’s defs squad maybe team.
Unfortunately you need a bit of a profile to make the team, which he doesn’t have. Some of the selectors are nuffs
When does Wietering get a look in? Has played some bad footy for a period this season, too far gone? Is there a tipping point if his form continues as he has probably been in the top few defenders over the last 5-6 weeks?
