The fact that these are the best deals we could drum up tells me that other clubs know were soft at the trade table. Any sane list manager would’ve held Dan to his contract.
Getting Dan would be a game changer for them, he’s definitely more of a need than another talented 18yo. Someone you can build your culture around, consistent, durable, skilled. Allows other players to get more midfield minutes. They’d be stupid not to pull the trigger
I find it hilarious that in the mid-90s Port picked a boxy thick lined logo with a grey skin toned fist of Zeus and nearly 30 years later the club leaders look at this disasterpiece and they're like: "Nah this is still good".
This is another case of us picking up a fringe 22 player from a club based on either potential or filling a need we have not been able to develop players for. And we wonder why the 15-22 last picked players are so terrible in our squad.
Luko was pick 2 on potential, he’s nowhere near lived up...
You can scratch elite set shot. Every player, established or rookie, seems to regress in set shot accuracy when they arrive at Port, with the exception of Jay Schulz.
P*ss off Kane and Caro, how can they say the Ginnivan outburst will "tarnish Ken's legacy"? What legacy? He's done absolutely nothing. And the whole Carr "succession plan" surely there needs to be some success to warrant a succession plan.
I was deep within the Oval,
when suddenly I spied him,
A bogan failure chrome dome,
bereft of ideas inside him!
I wasn't impressed but yet I stopped,
What could this man be there for?
What could a heartless loser,
Be coach of an AFL team for?
And then he failed? This empty man!
He kind of...
The psychology of it is interesting. I'm 35 (hate Hinkley), the group I go to the footy with has two fellas in their 60s. They both talk up the good old days when you could walk up to a player after the game and tell them how sh*t they played, or they talk about loser coaches who missed finals...
I'm not writing him off, but what he served up in that run of games this year was quite bad. Reminded me of Bonner, good size but no physicality. Let's hope he shows something in 2024.
