Loving a bigger number in my bank account. And the lack of nerves - I get so nervous before GFs that it's actually not enjoyable haha. Miss being it in thougg.
All aboard the doggies express! Have so much respect for your club. The emotion at the siren was what footy is all about. Best of luck against the $wans next week!!
If Hawks don't win, my preferences are as follows:
Tie between Adelaide and Bulldogs
West Coast
Fremantle
North Melbourne
Richmond
Daylight x 100
Sydney
I had to look up corporations legislation for work. When I went onto Austlii, the first case that popped up was Hird's*. It made for great procrastination reading.
I wouldn't call myself 'obsessed', but I definitely get very emotionally involved with the games/results during the season and I watch Hawks stuff during off season when I'm bored. People always comment about the look on my face/anxiety during matches. Safe to say that unless he's a fellow Hawks...
1. Essendon - Everything about that joke of a club. Supporters, Hird, Sheedy. The list goes on and on.
2. Sydney - No explanation needed. Made worse by living in Sydney and having the 'bloodz kulta' bollocks shoved in my face. I'm also sick of being called a racist for daring to boo Goodes. I...
Living in Sydney and being able to go to work with my hawks scarf on and giving two of the solicitors, one of whom drove to Melbourne, a very smug grin ;)
I was on my way home from the Roosters game and had to wait in a taxi line with Swans fans. This drunk bogan lady near me wouldn't shut up and kept singing 'I'm going to Melbourne'. The longest wait for a cab ever. I hate the Swans so much I can't describe it.
Not sure what is contributing to the knot in my stomach more, the knowledge I'm sitting for hopefully my last ever law exam today, or the game tonight. Carn the Hawks!!!
Whilst proscrastinating, I was lurking the Swans board and noticed they seem to have a lot of hatred for Gunston..why? Unless you're an Adelaide supporter, I don't see why he's so offensive. I must be missing something.
I think we should stick to the same side that played Geelong in round 22, I don't think any player from that game did enough to be dropped for this one. I have a sickening feeling that Lake will be a late out though. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite me, but I doubt Johnson, if he plays...
I tipped Swans at the start of the year, sadly won't change my tip now. Extremely hard to win B2B. To say I'd be happy to be proven wrong is the understatement of the millennium though.
Missed the game, though I did catch the post match comments when I got home. I was very, very put off by Harley's massive praise of us. Is the apocalypse coming?
The claims made by some Geelong supporters that they 'weren't trying' are made funnier by the fact that if they had won, they'd be talking their usual 'hawks are our bitches' bollocks.
Don't care if we win by half a point, as long as we win. Sitting behind the goals when Franklin scored late in the game at ANZ was beyond painful. Let's do this Hawks.
I'm hoping that unlike the game in Sydney, we start well. To state the obvious, the last thing we need is to get a few goals behind early on. I wish I were more confident, but I think the loss of Lake will screw us over sadly. I can only imagine the circle jerk should Sydney win.
Horrible news, gutted for Clarko. Cliched thing to say, but things like this are much bigger than footy. My thoughts are with him and his family, hopefully he recovers as well as you can with an illness like this. In regards to the footy side of things, I have a lot of faith in both Brendon and...
To say I'm dreading this game is an understatement. The ridiculous buddy v his old team bollocks will be even more annoying than the build up to Geelong games. As for Swans fans, frankly, to be very crass, they can EAD. They deserve more respect? Hahaha. They clearly must not be paying attention...
