Yes that Surface looks good. But in the end, it is not as simple as who has the best technology, affordability comes into it in a big way. How much do you think those machines are going to cost? They will be upwards of a grand, I'd say and it will be a long time until they are down around the...
Ultrabooks are twice the price of netbooks, this is not likely to change until SSD prices come down big time. I would take a netbook over a tablet every time. Until tablet capacity and speeds improve, it is a non-contest as far as I'm concerned.
I agree that netbooks will eventually be...
People who do not play games or do much visual stuff on their computers? Nor want to spend big money on a computer they may not use a lot.
ie millions of people.
Re: 3d tv
I haven't been keeping up to date with TV's since I bought one for myself 7-8 years ago. Safe to say the technology has come a long way in that time. Are they still making flat screen panels that are just conventional 2D? I am also of the opinion that 3D is bullshit and I'd rather not...
The missus has an Asus R101d laptop and reports slow speeds, especially when she has a few programs going. I thought a ram upgrade could help, is it worthwhile upgrading to 2Gb? Also what sort of RAM will I be needing? Any advice would be appreciated.

Check out Klipsch earphones. I really like this brand, I have an amazing set of speakers for my computer of theirs and got a quality pair of their earphones on the cheap too. Not sure how renowned this brand is, but they sure do the job :thumbsu:
I have been downloading torrents for 5 years and have not once got a virus or trojan. Streaming online is poorer quality picture and with torrents you can watch them over and over again without having to re-stream.
Torrents > stream.
Facebook was originally a Uni (College) students only networking site where you needed a .edu email address to use it. So yeah it is an older crowd than MySpace, which is filled with little punks that need to get off my lawn!! *shakes rake*
port forwarding is not worth the potential risks, unless you're a spyware/virus/https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/upgrades/etc guru. You're opening yourself up to heaps more risks for a minimal rise in download speeds.
If you're that worried about speeds perhaps contemplate a better broadband connection, or keep trying...
