Be surprised if a few clubs weren't pretty interested.
Prior to a minor knee injury this year he was playing like a poor mans Cyril. Has a tonne of talent.
Don't mind Mcginnity in if he plays on Ballantyne. Hard to see Weedon being retained, wouldn't surprise me to see Sheppard and someone else go with him. Didn't Ebert have some minor injury that caused us to sub him off last week? Might be an exclusion?
The tackle was in one motion though, and the ball was released midway through, it's not like Trengove saw he'd released the ball and decided to sling him into the turn anyway.
Hmm. He's taller than I thought. 187 cm's isn't quite what I was thinking for your tallest starting mid, but yeah I'll pay that.
Add Swift in and it's looking a whole lot better, of course ;)
Not sure why you guys are worried about Pav being exposed for pace in the middle. Who exactly from our centre brigade is going to achieve that? Did you see how Priddis was made to look like a witches hat in the second half against Essendon?
One thing that concerns me is the height of that starting midfield. They're all pretty small and in most successful setups you need at least one tallish bloke who can get first hand off the tap and do a bit of bash and crash work.
Re: Sheppard confusion!
Was primarily a defender in juniors AFAIK. Just moved into the middle for Easts right at the end of '09. I think our plans for him lie further up the ground.
