Out: Sheppard - i dont wanna say it but he aint playing well im getting slightly worried, Ebert - just really not that good, Weedon - obviously not ready yet did ohk in his 5 odd minutes tho his time will come

In: Masten-he's earnt it, Gaff - bloody sick of the way we aren't playing him, no other team is scared to play their kids, Hams/strijk- better option than weedon atm.

Schofield or smith out for mckenzie if he is fit depending on team balance.

Something like this
Butler Glass Hurn
Smith Mckenzie A Selwood
Rosa Priddis Embley
Nicoski Kennedy Darling
Lecras Lynch Hams

Cox kerr Shuey

Gaff, Scooter, Masten, NN

No Mginnity! and Gaff for a full game!

Sheppard struggled earlier in the year too so I am not sure why he was brought back for last week but having said that he probably should be given another game or two in the side just to confirm exactly where he's at.

Not sure we need too many changes this week.

MacKenzie's listed as out for 1-2 weeks, so y'all can stop listing him in the ins.
I remember hearing Woosha say he hoped to have him back for the Derby after the Essendon game, so even though it's unlikely it's still possible isn't it?

LeCras was still listed as a few weeks out the week he came back wasn't he?

What are you talking about?? We've played Darling in every game, Weedon played his first game, and Gaff has played 5 of 6 games. No one else has earned a call up.

And before you use 'but he's only been used as a Sub' argument for Gaff, he's still had more than most players his age. He hasn't just played a quarter each game. He's played close to:

1 x 1 full game
1 x 3/4 game
1 x 1/2 game
2 x 1/4 games

It was good for him to have a full run in the WAFL since he has been a regular sub - and he did well. Hopefully he comes in this week and plays a full AFL game. He's being handled and introduced to AFL really well imho.

11 quarters = 2 and 3/4 games of football. When i say we are scared to play our kids we are. Gaff is in the 22 and adds something we really lack. Why else has he not been played?

Because he is built like this?

I daresay if he was built like Darling he would be playing each week...

Rewatched the game and didn't think he was all that bad. Most of his touches were quite neat and he took a few good marks. He's obviously more of a rebounding/running defender than a stopper. Being judged harshly, IMO. Would be good to have Blayne Wilson in to play on Crameri types when he's ready. Thought Crameri was just about Essendon's most damaging forward, Smith didn't have the size or defensive skills to play on him.

We were always going to be troubled by Essendon's talls.

Bellchambers, Hille, Crameri and Ryder all to contend with. With no Mackenzie or Brown, it was an unpleasant situation to say the least.

This week (in terms of marking forwards), we will have:
Bradley (who is in top form atm), Pavlich, Sandilands (too tall for anyone to spoil if he's in the right spot), and Mayne (while not that tall can take a grab. But is a shocking kick). Fyfe and McPhee (please no, anyone but him) could also give us trouble.

Not as intimidating as Essendon, but I'm still worried. Pavlich at least has the ability to kick 2 on us in 2 minutes. I've seen him do it.

Then again, the game is always won and lost in the midfield. We were in front at half time because we dominated and starved Essendon of opportunities (even so, they were very efficient and took the opportunities when they had them.)

But our poor kicking in the second quarter came back to haunt us, as always. Kennedy should be doing nothing but target practice this week, his accuracy was atrocious last week.

LOL @ stick figure Gaff

IN: Masten Gaff
OUT: Weedon Shephard

If Mackenzie isn't right then schofield is required (not that i think he will be able to do any good on one of Mayne/Fyfe/Kepler) to stay in.

Smith Glass Selwood
Butler Schofield Hurn
Embley Priddis Rosa
Shuey Kennedy Darling
Lecras Lynch Nicoski
Cox Kerr Masten
Naitanui Gaff Selwood
Sub: Ebert

I was at training today.

Jordan Jones, I would play

He is now powerfully built and a real goer.

Have no idea how we are going to handle all their tall forwards.
They are apparently putting in Jack Anthony to really expose us.

Boy we could be in trouble.

But at training from West Coast site.

""""West Coast held an up-beat training session on Wednesday morning, with Mark LeCras, Andrew Embley, Sam Butler and Will Schofield on light duties.""""""

mmmm those guys ran quite abit, for light duties.

Blane Wilson looks a good tough player.
WHAT A PICK UP.

Lycett looks fitter.

JON is back and running nicely.

Lewis Broome was the most sizzling.

McGovern took some good promising marks

Houlihan left early for a cup of tea

Apart from the GC, I don't think there's many other teams who have got more out of their first year players than we have so far, which is a shift on how Woosha normally operates. Not sure of your argument to be honest.

Would love to see JoJo get a game, he would be the perfect matchup for Mayne.

Assuming EMac is unfit then for me it is.

In - JoJo, Masten, Gaff
Out - Shepard, Weedon, Smith

Team
JoJo, Glass, Butler
Hurn, Scofield, A.Selwood
Rosa, Kerr, Gaff
Embley, Kennedy, Darling
LeCras, Lynch, Nico

Cox, Shuey, Priddis
Int - Ebert, NicNat, Scooter, Masten

Really no idea who should be the sub. Maybe Masten or Ebert??

From what I have seen of Anthony in the 2 or 3 WAFL games I've watched, he won't run hard into space or to link up play, likes to play around the 50m arc, occassionally coming down to the wing, but I'm sure that was to chase the watergirl and get a drink. :p :)
