Hawks are going to throw it around all year. Hardwick Sicily Weddle Battle will be changed week to week and at times quarter to quarter. It’s going to be very unpredictable and very fun

Please god I hope we don’t do something like that. We should sit patiently and hold the blues picks for next year. Blues have lost depth and their game plan is very questionable. Their future 1 is a very valuable piece. 33 and Anderson is a nice draft haul where we take a couple of kids that...
Eagles should walk away if they are not happy and go on trade radio and tell this story. When the deal gets done for a future 1st and 2nd all the eagles fans here will pivot and say he’s 29 and his back is cooked.
Hawks would be crazy to offer 2 firsts but you only need to look at hawks list...
So blues future 1 will be pick 20? I hope eagles take hawks future 1st because blues don’t have a game plan and they could easily miss the 8

Hawks won by 11 goals ffs.
Backline of
Hardwick Frost Sicily
scrimshaw Battle Impey with Weddle and Amon rotating through and Blanck coming back from a knee reconstruction + first round pick defender McCabe (197cm) and Serong as backup.
Hawks are not desperate for this deal.
Eagles on...
Hope we are considering walking away from Barass. 2 future 1st and 2 future 2’s gives us the flexibility to do anything next year. We may even get a great offer for 33 on draft night from a bottom 4 team for another second and third in 2025.
We have heaps of cap space and amazing young talent...
Pick 17 on draft night in a draft where the kid that got taken last year at 5 would be 1 this year. Some lazy analysis from the media

Does 33 and 2 future seconds get us close to pick 13 from the suns? I know nobody likes points but if it was 33 this year and 35 and 36 next year it would be 1587 points with 13 worth 1212 but 13 turns into 15 after Ashcroft and Kako so becomes 1112.
I’m sure I’m missing something but it...
And how smug beatson was talking with the Gettable guys and how funny that they traded that pick to us and then took our academy player. If they had of taken Weddle they would have Weddle and Blakey running and daring off half back. Hilarious

Agree that’s a great trade period. If it’s 2 firsts for Barass with the eagles 2024 second coming back I’d be excited by the 2 ready to go defenders and what we do with Eagles second and Pies second.
Feel like cause we have known for a while that we are getting Battle and Barass our fans are...
Assuming that the Barass deal goes through and doesn’t involve our future first or current second. Any insights on whether we will be trying to get back into the 1st round this year ?

I don’t. His kicking moves opposition zones and opens holes so that we can get our run going. He’s in the top few kicks in the league and too valuable down back imo

Considering Hawkins is out and then tall forwards are
Cameron - Weddle
Neale - Scrimshaw
Rohan - Frost
I would consider bringing in Mitchell and sending him to miers and have Hardwick take Stengle.
Hopefully Sicily gets though

To be honest I would prefer to try and trade up (sounds stupid as we are currently 17th but I still think there is a good chance the ladder finishes
15- Hawks
16- Tigers
17- Eagles
18- Roos
Interestingly I am hard barracking for Port this week and Bombers on Anzac day which could break the...
I think that was the point. It's hit and miss in the teens.
Hard to value Smith. No way he is worth a top 5 pick EG Hawks pick this year but he's easily a mid first rounder. Wonder if a club like hawks would need to either split their pick with Suns or Dockers or someone and then give one of...
