    How many will Baker get?

This is pretty much what happened. Baker was a few metres behind Farmer as he was sprinting forward. Farmer doubled back and as baker was looking sideways at the ball, they collided. Nothing in it, did nothing wrong. Farmer was the one who ran into Baker and he came off second best. All those...

    Footy Show Screamers (2/6)

Hope they win - imagine them having to show up do it again after the bagging they will be copping.

    Shrek for captain

I must say that the thought of having Nathan Brown come after me doesn't really strike the fear of God into me, but most AFL players would have seen what those dogs did and it will be in the back of their minds next time they are in the same situation. He who lives by the sword, dies by the...

    The Blue View is KIA

Like the zookeeper forgetting to lock up on his way home. Seriously, life goes on. Saints supporters have had a couple of forums go down, but another always pops up, as long as there are loyal and committed supporters.

    That bloody ad

Worse than last years, but then I don't think that tv ads are as effective as other means - but it's all a part of keeping the brand in the media. All we need now is GT making some outrageous comment about playing the grand final at night and then we'll have all the publicity... oh too late...

    St Kilda Saints: A Summary

St Kilda did not sack a player to promote a rookie. Think about what you are writing. Murray was not promoted to replace Capuano.

    Stkilda has many ruck options????

Funny how the online article has changed now, and does not mention Knoble, or having many ruck options. Don't know why that would be... FWIW, I always liked Knobel, but then I have a thing for battlers. He was not very skilled in body or mind, but he did always try hard, so I will not bag...

The idiots guide to offloading a dud to another club for value back

Or d) If you have a good team, continue to name a dud player as emergency As Mick Malthouse did at the Eagles. Makes other clubs think the dud is a good player who just can't break into a top side.

    wizard cup rules

I do like the play on call when you kick backwards. When switching the play, you direct it through a player with space, so this rule shouldn't (if the players use the switch correctly) have an effect on this.

Smart Footballers - "Good Football Brain"

Don't know if Mark Roberts was the best reader of the play (but he was a great seller of the power tool.) I think the Werlls will be an awesome player for the Roos more for his brains than ability (and that is saying a lot)

    Cain Ackland

Was one of the few who rated (now very highly) Knobel. He could take a mark, and could tap the ball. However, he couldn't kick to a target and couldn't position himself to tap the ball to advantage. Have been very impressed by Ackland at training, but we'll see how that pans out. I wish...

    Grant Thomas

Re: Grant Thomas II Actually it wasn't really a "diet", it was more a "cleaning out" which has the effect of losing a lot of weight. Can't say I could ever do it myself, but good on him for having the ball for going through all of that.

Smart Footballers - "Good Football Brain"

Good post Krisholio. I remember when St Kilda was getting thrashed every week in 2000/2001, I said I don't care how slow, or how fat the kids we recruit are, as long as they know how to play footy. I think that sometimes the recruiters forget that we are playing a game that is played 90% above...

    Grant Thomas

Re: Grant Thomas II Contrary to popular belief, Grant Thomas is a normal person who like a beer and a bottle of wine. He is the sort of person people hang around with at a BBQ because he's a good bloke. He wasn't on a "diet", but he did lose a lot of kgs. He may put them back on (hasn't yet)...

Worst AFL umpire IYO (in your opinion)

Bards were famous with their ability to use language in an oral context, so I guess you could be forgiven your obvious deficiences. The umpire didn't give the match to the Saints. They had opportunities to score after that, but held the ball up (as Brisbane had done earlier - rather ironic of...

Worst AFL umpire IYO (in your opinion)

The problem with umpires, is that they only listen to the opinion of one person. This person is also seen as being one of the worst coaches of the last 20 years (by his own supporters) and is seen as doing a great job by the AFL. Ditch the Geisch! (btw - the worst umpires sem to be the...

any saints supporters here who ran onto the ground when Fraser kicked his ton ?

Don't see the point in running onto the ground, except to get their heads on tv. Also can't see the point in blaming the umpires for the loss. Blame players for mistakes before the umpires. The only thing the ground invasion was good for was to give Fraser the chance to have a quick pee - and...

    Grant Thomas

Good call, but I must apologise on behalf of the St Kilda Football Club for the AFL thinking that they could make money from this. They would have made just as much money just selling the round 10 game by itself. Must admit I was disappointed by that game. Was expecting a contest from a well...

    Grant Thomas

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. I for one don't care what opposition supporters think, at the moment I think he is doing a great job. Having better draft picks in the 00s has replaced having more money to lure players in the eighties...So why didn't Carlton win more premierships...

    The Ones To Watch!

Andrew Walker Is developing his body to match his skills. In a few years, he will make Koutafides' best years look ordinary. Will also take mark of the year in the next few years. Oh, and as is the norm around here, from the Saints - Aaron Fiora. Has been a slow developer, and will never...

    St Kilda and priority=JOKE!

People seem to forget how crippled with injury the Saints teams of 2001/02 were. With players like Harvey, Koschitzke, Riewoldt, Hudghton, Blake, Burke, Cripps, Thompson, Loewe, Jones, Everitt and others out for extended periods, at times we struggled to name three emergencies (couldn't on one...
