You have no idea about anything that goes on at Essendon. The list is better, the coaching staff is better, the training facilities are about to get better than anything at Richmond.
He knows more than you. Hird is one of the greatest players of all time. You probably have never actually played the game before. So far Hird has coached a team to a finals series. Something Hardwick hasn't achieved.
Melbourne beat us once and we beat both Richmond and Carlton at our best. Both Richmond and Carlton lost to Gold Coast and Melbourne beat Gold Coast comfortably.
James Turd? Lol. Just happens to be one of the most decorated AFL players of all time. Premierships, Norm Smith, Brownlow, Club B&F's, the list of awards goes on. Watson, Stanton, Zaharakis, Goddard, Daniher, Ryder, Hurley, Carlise, Bellchambers vs A few Number 1 Draft Picks and Chris Judd is no...
I'm not calling Goddard a champ. He is there to play a role. Hird already said Goddard is their to play a significant midfield role, but he is not expecting him to be a superstar.
How is he a champ if he has never won a premiership or a club B&F? All he did was captian a club that never made the finals while he was the skipper. Fantastic career right there!
There actually is a reason for this to alter. "The Weapon" wont have complete power of the pre-season training and will be watched over. Why shouldn't I talk about next year when this year is already over?
Seems to have got us better results than Melbourne. It doesn't matter because next year Essendon will be getting better results than Richmond, Carlton and Melbourne. I'll make sure to be on for your comments then.
Essendon is old. We may have Fletcher who can do more than Chaplin even at his age, but then Watson is only 27 and all our other promising players like Hurley, Carlise, Zaka, Stanton, Daniher, Ryder, Bellchambers... the list goes on, who are all still very young. If you think Richmond can get...
The rumours are a 4 year contract worth 3.1 million. That is 725k a season.
Goddard will fill a need we have in the midfield. He is also versatile to give Heppell a run in the middle while he plays across half back. He can go forward when needed. He has proven how good he can be. Anyway, I...
Exactly. No ones much younger than that so people should stop saying Goddard will break down because he is apparently so old. If Knights and Chaplin are filling needs for Richmond, then so is Goddard. At least Goddard has actually proven what he is capable of before.
Actually it's more like 725k a season. You want to talk about the biggest joke in the league? How about a team that hasn't played finals for 11 years? At least our club went out and did something to ensure we make finals.
Are you an idiot too? Mick Malthouse even said we deserved to be favourites for the premiership earlier this year on Game Day. Our pressure was the best, our skills were up there with the Hawthorn's, not to mention we were up around the top of the ladder. They did a whole lot more than Richmond...
You want to talk about overrated? Chaplin and Knights both headed to Richmond and they will be 27 next year. Neither has really done much. Chaplin may have some value if it comes off. But I can definitely see both players failing next year and the club missing out on the eight yet again.
After Round 9 we had lost just one match by one point. We had destroyed the side on top of the ladder at the time, West Coast, by over 60 points. The stats do tell a story. Our clearance stats may not have been as good as they were in the first half of the season, but we still averaged the exact...
"Washed up and Injury prone"
Are you talking about Goddard or your former captian, Chris Newman? He missed two games this season. How is that injury prone? He still had a decent season if you haven't seen my earlier posts about his stats.
Nothing against Chris, but if Goddard is apparently...
Idiot. Essendon has no problem getting the ball. In case you didn't notice we just happen to have a Brownlow Medalist in our side that has no issue winning clearances and didn't miss a game. Our issue came from injuries to Brent Stanton and David Zaharakis who are supposed to get it on the...
It's something called professionalism. The media would be all over them if they didn't act with class. Same with Brett Ratten. That guy wouldn't have been too happy to be sacked one year after nearly making the top 4. But there is not much he can do but just move on.
Essendon's main issue is outside midfield run. Goddard can provide that, as well as great foot skills. People seem to keep saying that Goddard has been ordinary and is past his best. Goddard average 24 touches a game this year. Equal to Hodge's best form in 2010 and 2011.
I wouldn't be suprised if we saw a Jeremy Cameron type debut season. I'm not going to say it's definitely going to happen but have you seen the size of him? He'll have help from Crameri, Ryder, Hurley and Goddard if he needs to go forward.
