Watched the replay of the game from last wk vs cats. Geez Lambert is an elite rover off the pack. gets in the perfect position. He is a very important player for us.
looks like the tide has turned back in our favor and that the tigs have come up with a better offer. My mail was that he was taking the cash at north, but we have recently up'd our offer cash + possible stuff after. More likely to stay now

Williams has had a pretty good year for Norf. I don't think playing with him is the attraction, it's the cash and that he will be well and truly set up for life. We could also argue that's he'd be set with the tigs offer as well... but our names aren't on the contracts. Easy for us to say, take...
At this point in time I expect him to leave (could change if we up our offer)however, the norf offer is significantly more and over more years than our offer. Imagine your own job, you're on 100k and another employer offers you 150k. Would be hard to say no. But in this case, it's a diff of 2-3m...
Agree he has loads of talent, that was more my point. He should be a player.
But Castagna, Short, Lambert seem to want it more.

Too young - we should have learnt that good young players *cough Cotch cough* dont need to be in leadership groups. let them develop their games first.
From "outside of their four walls", i reckon Jack is a good fit (speaks great in the media), but i get the feeling that the players still...
Joe Atley - his highlights on the RFC looked really good. Good hands, decent kick, pace out of contest and a nice step.

I agree, you don't trade away a 22yr old that knows how to find the footy and made an AA squad at 21. By the time he is 25. He will be a n even better player.

One variable i haven't seen raised yet is his family. From the article poster earlier in the age, his connections are very strong. I can't imagine he'd move from them or last for long without them in melb. I hope he does. Surely the club would have considered this before drafting him. Hopefully...
Agree. Keeping Elton and Astbury was a good move. Should they both have a consistent year, one of them may have some trade value (plus 1st rd pick) should the "doozy" become available. Another gun midfielder is what we need during trade period 2016. 2017 is the year I think we will give it a...
Let me give you two fairly handy sub 180cm players. Sam Mitchell at 179 and Lachie Neale at 176.
Gresham will be a very good footballer.

I'm not convinced we are going for Ah Chee just based on chasing Motlop and Bennell (not based on any inside knowledge). I see those two guys, as guys that were potentially available and both bloody good players. When it came down to it, there was only a handful of really good players available...
So many opinions. great debate going on. Here is Champion Data's top 30.

The same Lewis Taylor that won the Rising Star award?
I think sometimes we expect too much from 19/20 yr old. His impact on games will increase and I'm sure by 22/23 yrs old LT will be a very good player. Difficult to impact the game when your team is playing terrible for 75% of the season...
Your opinion i guess.
But not sure how you arrived at "doesnt have any elite traits" ? ?
Ran a 14.1 in the beep
only 1 or 4 players to get a perfect goal kicking score
Avg 30 touches in TAC
TAC All Aus
I think he'll work out just fine.
I'm gunna keep pushing the Jade Gresham bandwagon (like I have any influence ;)) .
His profile on AFL is super impressive. All-Australian, Coaches MVP for Vic Metro, knights captain and avg 30+ in 13 games (12 contested & 18 un), 2nd in league medal, inside 50 machine, 14.1 beep, 30 from 30...
Oliver will be gone before our pick.
I prefer these kids (in order). Ryan Burton, Jade Gresham, Ben Keays (bris academy) , Callum Ah Chee, Riley Bonner & Darcy Tucker.
Gresham for mine is a low risk " pure footballer" that has pace, ball winning ability, impacts goals and is skillful. Would be...
