Will be shocked if GF not at Gabba. Hearing they have already had a 'nod & wink' from the AFL. I am more bullish about our chances this year than last season
Met him a few months ago, pre Covid, at a holiday resort and didnt realise who he was at the time. Due to the pandemic many cases have been delayed so suggest he is still walking the streets
Loves to feather his own nest. When he left the players association, they were locked into a pretty hefty lease in some very nice office space.
Rumour has it that one of Andys companies owned the property.
Ralph was a really good player. CBC had a few stars in those days.
The son of our old champ, Stephen Philp, also picked up at no. 20. Philpy was a super player in A and B grade at OPs.
His son, Sam, is a ripping kid and hope he does well. Not sure where Sam's speed comes from as his father...
The Cats have played their 'big final' as they put enormous energy into the WC game, to avoid the embarrassment of exiting in straight sets.
I will be very surprised if they have more that one quarter of high intensity football in them this week.
We would have to have a disaster, similar to last...
Is there any chance we can get our match ups right, in defence, this week? Oh, and maybe someone sits on Sidebottom as he has smashed us in our last few encounters.
This Friday is a great chance to build self belief,as the Pies have been our nemesis.
Agree with your comments although he is very well aware of his mistake and takes responsibility for it.
His record prior to this incident has been impeccable over a long period of time.
The best side won on GF day and the best two sides were promoted.
Time for everyone to stop dwelling and...
Obviously you weren't at game today. OPs far from finished. One less scoring shot. Boundy returns next week from injury and they will be hard to beat.
NFL exodus????
You obviously know nothing about the club or anybody worthwhile who is connected.
Spread your juvenile rumours somewhere else champ.
Who are still flag favourites???
Watched the other game. Parade served it right up to UHS. Good game. Great effort to be promoted again. Congrats
No Boundy again
Having seen all 4 top teams on several occasions this year I would say Parade have definitely been the best team.
To win that many games in a row and beat each team convincingly, apart from the Friars, you have to be pretty good. However, injuries may be about to dismantle all their good work...
I agree Pieman. I think we will see a new ladder leader on Saturday evening after the Friars, on their home deck, dispose of the Parade boys.
Feel it may be a different result if they meet in the finals but fairly confident Friars will be primed for revenge tomorrow.
Not sure who was injured but one of their forwards did a nasty hammy late in the third & they appeared to have a few sore boys on the bench at 3/4 time.
Not sure if Ramsay (27) is the Zooboys best midfielder but each time I see him he goes very well. Think he has just returned from holidays so...
The Uni boys were way too quick for Yarra. Very impressive even without their best onballer. Top 2 are now a lock.
Yarra may have also copped a few injuries today which adds salt to the wound.
Very tight at the top. OPs would be only slight favourites from UHS but any of the top 4 could be promoted and it wouldnt surprise me.
Not much between them all. Much will depend on availability and injuries to key players. Too close to call
My thoughts, with 7 games remaining, on the only genuine finals chances;
OP's - Excellent start to season but struggling over the last few weeks. Will need to regain some form to maintain top 2 position.
UHS - Rock solid year with only one blemish. Well organised with strong on-ball division...
Interesting game at the Garvey on the weekend with the Friars being the better team in the first half - reaping the reward of some very favourable umpiring. However, Parade with 2 key players down after half time, finished the game full of running - aided by some amazing umpiring decisions...
