Ive seen Whitefriers a couple of times and if they make the 4 they can do some damage on the big grounds because they run hard forward.
thank you mr retired. i was wondering where mr fund had gone as he was the go-to gent for all the inside friars information.

it is sad to see once very competitive clubs like melbourne, parade and friars languishing in d2.

The funds dried up NI. Sad for all.
indeed mr hippstar. thank you for considering and for confirming my feelings. sad for contributors and fellow conversationalists he’s fore closing. farewell cobber.

you certainly are across not only all things vafa but all things bf too.

Yarra are the team to beat for mine - super strong outfit that have found even better form in the second half of the year - they won't miss.

If there are any changes it will be the Unicorns winning 5 of the 6 games (lose to Yarra), and Friars losing to both Parade and MHSOB allowing a change in 4th/5th. But again unlikely - just trying to make things interesting!

Yarras problem is come finals they will be on proper grounds, not their postage stamp and I can’t see their game plan holding up against any of the top 4

Unicorns season on the line this week, lose and it’s season over, win and they have a chance. But so far they have not beaten anyone above them and Friars finish with 3 easy games so will be hard to catch even if they drop the next 2

What makes you think yarras game plan wont hold up? they score so easy surely the big grounds will help them?

Because they like to cramp their opposition, deny them space. They don’t want a free flowing game on a big ground. They score easily because it’s 2 kicks from kick in to an easy shot on goal!

I’ve seen them badly exposed on a larger ground and expect the same in finals

Didnt they smash BT last week on a big ground?

Interested to know why an undefeated Parade wouldn't be favourites for the flag? Even UHS considering there ladder standings...

Very tight at the top. OPs would be only slight favourites from UHS but any of the top 4 could be promoted and it wouldnt surprise me.
Not much between them all. Much will depend on availability and injuries to key players. Too close to call

I see the premiership favourites got thrashed on their home deck

The Uni boys were way too quick for Yarra. Very impressive even without their best onballer. Top 2 are now a lock.
Yarra may have also copped a few injuries today which adds salt to the wound.

Who got injured?
Decent injuries hurt at this time of year with the rush to get them back. Moore goalless after half time too.
UHS midfield looked even at a quick glance. Who is their best that wasn’t playing?

UHS have now held the Yarra boys to their 2 lowest scores of the season if I'm not mistaken? Maybe the friars first time round.

Not sure who was injured but one of their forwards did a nasty hammy late in the third & they appeared to have a few sore boys on the bench at 3/4 time.

Not sure if Ramsay (27) is the Zooboys best midfielder but each time I see him he goes very well. Think he has just returned from holidays so played in the 2's and then goal umpired the seniors. UHS is definitely the team to beat.
