Who travels OS at this time of the year? Be interesting to see them play the top sides with a full side
Didn't believe you until I did the same research... almost half the side. Have to wonder if that's cutting it too close to finals to regain form/continuity. OP are still favourites in my book, Uni boys deservedly nipping at their heels.

I believe the appeal failed and then they have gone further , but don't know the result. It was disgraceful what happened.

I agree Pieman. I think we will see a new ladder leader on Saturday evening after the Friars, on their home deck, dispose of the Parade boys.
Feel it may be a different result if they meet in the finals but fairly confident Friars will be primed for revenge tomorrow.
The powerhouse eltham matchup is huge too. Eltham at home would be a real show.
If Powerhouse drop this they have a horror run home. Bulleen Temp have all the other bottom sides to finish the season so you'd have to tip them to win 1 or 2 to escape.
Then to finish the season there is St johns v Leos. What a relegation finish!.
Are you saying it is still going on? Rules should be clear? Complaint = hearing [all there] Result? If appeal should have been over weeks ago. VAFA Hq haven't posted anything in the record either. Disgrace with incident if still going.

Agreed, it's tough to stay up all season, often a loss can be a good check ahead of finals. Not saying OP want to lose, but think Friars have more to play for, and can stamp their quality with a tough win.
Johns V Leos is massive. Leo's will have played the top 4 sides in consecutive weeks after YV this weekend (horror fxture). They're slightly better than the other relegation sides IMO.
Word is that even though Powerhouse believe the VAFA wont do anything, Powerhouse are gonna stick it to VAFA by staying in Div 2 and St Leos likely to drop. Without Beluzaar, St Leos no chance.
I did hear that Powerhouse made 7 changes against Bull Temp, to their favor, and will be too strong for the Turtles. A shame as Turtles are great bunch of blokes and been in finals for 10 years.
Whitefriars too young and soft at the contest, If Friars dont start well, unlikley to comeback against bigger bodies of Parade. CK back for parade after busting Jaw. Is huge
Have heard from Yarra Valley player that VAFA umpires all over the shop, 2 umpires quit before bye and 2-3 more out the door end of season to Southern from all reports. Umpire that overruled goalie at St Leos apparantly gave investigation story that he was in fwd pocket, but on video, was nowhere near the pocket where he said he was. No wonder Powerhouse furious...
Im gonna go to Whitefriars game and can report back. Someone told me that Yarra had 7-8 guns out against UNI High, Uni high still a threat and be interesting 2nd semi...

As for the Yarra players out, judging by the team sheet there were a few, namely yeo who anyone who's played them would know he adds a lot to the Yarra side.
Just heard the same , on the vision he's a long way from where he said he was and his mate is doing the I now nothing. Terrible to see a side go down after a blatent stuff up.
apparently, not your normal attrition rates, and 2 mid season?? Not injury related either... more behind the scenes and young umpires (good) being overlooked for favorites..
