You'd be doing well to pay them players off the gate takings of 8 or 9 home games! Don't get me wrong I think Sebas has a fair bit going for it, like: the cheapest house prices in the town! Mind you, you'd want a good security system to hang on to your possessions, although grand final day the...

Have seen Waters coaching at North Ballarat City (back to back premiers 14/15) and as a line coach at the Rebels in the TAC cup. Builds good rapport particularly with younger players and has loads of experience and runs on the board, good bloke to lead a club, great appointment for Gisborne.

I agree 100% Slammer, that they should be pulled back to 43-points but that wont happen. At best it'll come back to 45 because they'll argue that 'over recent years they haven't had the volume of juniors coming through u15, u17 and u19 that most other BFL clubs have had'. Therefore they'll need...

Curious to know if Keeble and Goodes were put through a fitness test as intense as that which McDougall was subjected to? Re-injuring on Thursday or Saturday, I know what I'd prefer.

Keeble will be playing his 3rd game in the last 77-days and Goodes his 3rd game in 63-days. You’d have to agree that’s high risk! Goodes is 35 and having calf problems, Keeble has only played 10-games this season with ongoing back and hamstring issues. Both could be match winners, but their best...

Sebas into the Grand Final after 20 ordinary years. The shock of being told to move to the CHFL 2-years ago was the catalyst to awaken the sleeping giant. They’ve finally got they’re act together and are one game away from living out fairytale season. Can they take the premiership cup from East...

Surely East don't go into this game without a Ruckman, against the tallest team in the comp, especially now Koderenko has played the last 2-games in the reserves or are they going in with a smaller running team to take advantage of the wet and windy conditions forecast?

I see the premiership favourites in this order: East, Sunbury, Redan, Melton, Sebas, Darley. With East Point finishing top-2 they'll be hard to beat at the Eastern Oval 1st week of the finals. Sunbury may be the smokey, with plenty of onball class, if they get through the first week lookout...

I'm not bagging clubs for paying their home grown talent at market value, I was just shocked at the market value. Obviously where country and metro leagues share such close borders there's going to be a very competitive market for quality players. The points system has little effect on player...

Shocked me when I heard how much they were paying their home grown players. Also hearing an improving Ballarat based team pushed its 2018 players to take a pay cut for 2019.

Wasn't sure what the reason was, thought it may have been Willy rebuilding with younger stocks, offloading a few older blokes like George and Ben Jolley.

Melton South really need to put in a reasonable performance against Lakers this week, if they don't, their future in this comp MAY be pretty much over. So far this year the average score for their 3-teams (Senior, reserves U/19) is just 29-points per game, while each of their teams have conceded...

Like night games we don't need or want interleague games either. We rattle tins 365-days of the year to fund and recruit players to win flags, not to pump up the tyres of league administrators. No club member or official would swap a finals appearance for an interleague win!

Don't think East Point would've been too concerned about the 2's loss, especially as the senior team won the flag on the same day. No doubt helped by the depth in the 2's.

Great effort over a long time by Melton to build this team of locals. East point a little different but still with plenty of juniors, not sure if it’s right but I was told during the week their average age is under 22 so plenty of future potential there. Can’t wait for great game tomorrow.
