    List Mgmt. Pick 9

Serong looks like Dion Prestia with a forward game. Reminds me a little of Gresham but is a lot stronger build.

Training 2020 Training - pics, reports etc

I don't know, I felt like Weitering dominated forwards in 2019. High ball going into our defence was as comfortable as any player in the league. Looks to out mark his opponent and often does. The only forward who I didn't think Weitering handled very well was Tim Membery in our first St.Kilda...

You obviously didn't read my post where I stated that last year was a different set of circumstances to this year.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXII

You realise the whole point of the pick swap last year is because we rated stocker a top 6 pick in a super draft? Besides that, an extra year development isn't exclusively meaning game-time. Its being in the AFL system, learning the ropes as well as games. I don't think anyone would expect any...

Samo looks like he will develop into similar player to Tim Kelly in the way they move and both look slow but no one can catch them. But in my view Samo comes with more x-factor given his ability to make time stop.

Draft Watcher Knightmare's 2019 Draft Almanac

Thanks for the reply! I think with his basketball background and only recently deciding on AFL means there's plenty of scope for him to improve on the areas he is lacking in (running patterns, ball finding etc) Looking at what he can do though, he has attributes I've never seen from a 199cm...

Draft Watcher Knightmare's 2019 Draft Almanac

If I was a recruiter, I would be taking Jackson at pick 1. Looks an unbelievable prospect.

Analysis 2019 List Management Discussion II

If they cant see the great job Silvagni has done, they should be the ones under review. I see your point of view as slightly contradictory. You state that proper list management is all about picking for need but what if the list managers think we don't need the probable talent levels of late...

Analysis 2019 List Management Discussion II

We may be the worst performed with late picks and rookie picks, but in reality, who cares? The late picks are not a priority with our recruitment strategy, for other teams they are, hence the better performance. I look at the crows recruiting as an example of a team who has been set up to do...

    Opinion Stephen Silvagni

My feel is that Richmond have developed a group of players who can pressure and keep the ball locked in their forward half specifically to maximise Dustin Martin's strengths and minimise his weaknesses. Plucking players from Richmond may not bring the rewards expected for this reason as we don't...

Also deceptively tall. A legitimate marking option up forward who can play small. I cant wait to watch him under Teague.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXII

Whenever we are coming up to play GC there is always one player I check to see if they are playing and its Jack Martin. Dont look at his whole career as its been with a side that regularly gets thumped. Look at his games against other poor teams. Its when gold coast play evenly matched teams...

    Opinion Stephen Silvagni

Imagine Liddle had a near flawless track record in his position, produced an unbelievable body of work and Chris Judd, the newbie board member, started interfering in his role as CEO and putting out his own unapproved membership campaigns alongside Liddle's then criticising Liddle for only...

    Opinion Stephen Silvagni

Is this even a question? Brad Lloyd has come from a basket case in Freo, Liddle was the membership guy at Richmond, Silvagni is the architect of potentially the greatest ever overhaul in arguably the most important domain of an AFL club. This nonsense about Liddle and Lloyd being 'system...

    Opinion Stephen Silvagni

All going well, in 5 short years, Silvagni has brought in: Charlie Curnow, Mckay, Weitering, Walsh, SPS, Fisher, Dow, Marchbank, Stocker, DeKoning, Kennedy, Setterfield, McGovern, Plowman, Jack Silvagni, O'Brien, Cuningham, Martin, Pick 9 That's potentially 19 top shelf, young talented players...

    Opinion Stephen Silvagni

What I find funny is that there was a rumor that Liddle had questioned Silvagni on the failed attempts to recruit big names. Funny since I haven't heard him make a big noise and question the AFL on their involvement in getting Coniglio an out of salary cap deal to keep him at GWS or the AFL...

    Opinion Stephen Silvagni

How on earth can anyone look at the job Silvagni has done at Carlton look at it and say.. 'gee, I think we need to replace this guy'

    Opinion Stephen Silvagni

Just signed up to share a thought which is believe is becoming more self evident as time passes. I have been adamant for a while now that Liddle is an AFL operative. It started back at Trigg's sacking. I don't know all the inner workings behind Steven Trigg's exit from Carlton, but one thing...
