Give them a break, they’ve played 2 and 3 games respectively. You can’t expect them to come in and set the world on fire immediately... Mcstay and Hipwood certainly did not. They both had good games last week and an average game this week against a great side. Not to mention, very few played...

But thinking towards the future too, Eagles is 30+ I’d rather blood Ballenden or Skinner and have them for years instead of playing Eagles and getting probably another year out of him.

I’d rather see Skinner back up ruck against the dogs instead of Ballenden.

I would argue Skinner provided just as much as Mcstay. It’s always been pretty hard for our forwards... entry has been shocking

my prediction for Tuesday night Out: Birchall In: Payne Would also love to see Mathieson get a run.

At times did look a little slow but you have to remember how quicker the is at an AFL standard compared to NEAFL or reserves matches. It will take a couple more games to work out the pace.

After a pretty quiet first half both Ballenden and Skinner came into their own. Both looked a lot more comfortable in the second half. Hopefully they get a chance next week to build on this win

Skinner coming into his own... first game in over 1000, was expecting a bit of rust. Leading the game in marks.

Skinner and Charlie couldn’t get on that quarter... sat for nearly 10 minutes waiting for rotations. Hopefully the game opens up and Skinner can show us what he is made of.

I’m afraid that this week with so many outs, it could be make or break for a couple of our fringe players... I would think if Mathieson or Witherden don’t get a game soon then they will walk at seasons end. Would be a real shame to see this happen... hope they get a chance soon.
