Christ, you can not compare the two, having a bunch of great players in your team is no good when they dont win a premiership. Lions won three in a role, thats gonna be hard to beat as not many teams win that many in a row so they are by far the better team out of the two.

It's just a pity that Abletts personal life nearly overshadowed his skill of football, look it took the AFL a bloody long time to put him in the Hall of Fame.

The only problem is that the Hawks and Saints are treated as though they are part of Tassy due to playing here. So I dont know how successful an AFL team would be here unless it was one of those two.
