I just want to see some of our fringe players continue to show that they are AFL quality.
Rosas kicks 4 goals and gets to 20 for the year ;)
Davies takes a few marks up forward and throws his weight around in the middle
Lloyd Johnston makes a few good plays
No injures.
Luko and Franklin similar except one guy is missing that explosive, powerful, fast twitch athletic profile and the huge self confidence that the other guy has..
I don’t follow super closely, so maybe this is off the mark a little..
I know jones was good for us and a pretty consistent avenue to goal so her loss will be felt.
But don’t you reckon that rowbottom has scope to improve further, the Irish import is an unknown but clearly talented sportswomen...
On the main board there is a thread about QLD football and someone was telling about taking their child to a U11 AFL cup tournament in Mackay. 8 teams of children boys and girls, organised by the suns academy staff.
Here we are doing a great job at defining these pathways to elite AFL in...
And on my opinion, the best way to convince them is not to bother fussing over some parent and or child, but to win games of football, play finals, and build the crowd/supporter base.
Please,
I think he's got about 1000 other more important things to worry about than some 15 year old kid that may or may not be good enough for the AFL
Do the victorian clubs actually do anything for players that are potential NGA recruits?
Do they have club training, play games, receive any actual coaching?
From the outside it doesn't seem like the clubs really do anything other spend their time searching for tenuous links.
Who's shoving? If it's a 3rd rounder only I think we'd be happy enough to keep him.
As I said, plenty of time to show what he can become.
Change in coaching staff may be what he needs.
Interesting listening to AFL 360 tonight.
King and Montagna talking about the different scoring 'profiles' of the top 8
Focussing on scoring differential from stoppages and from turnover.
Clearly highlighting that scoring differential from turnover is the most important factor in the game. I...
He was injured the whole first year after doing his ACL late in draft year. So it's really on 2 years of play.
Still has plenty of potential to go on and be a good player.
There were definitely positive signs when he came into the team in late 2022, but this year has just been awful on all...
Noah made the 22u22 team on the bench.
Not sure I love the team.
Nic Martin from Essendon missing out the biggest glaring omission to me.
Serong surely should have been one of the captains.
If these guys are interested we should recognise that the general consensus around us may be changing and get on the front foot.
Make a few phone calls to some actual game changers.
Hello often injured Ben Mckay. Would you be interested in coming up to warm and sunny Queensland where you may...
Sharp may net a late pick
Hollands if he leaves will get a decent pick.
Could always trade a later future pick into this draft.
I think it would be fairly doable.
I’m not sure that playing as a back pocket in a team with 2 losses and a percentage of 175% really helps them develop as an overall player.
Yes, I think that small, running defender will probably be both of their best positions in the AFL, especially in the short term. But I don’t think they...
Yes,
But young players also need exposure in key roles to develop.
Wouldn't mind Bodhi Uwland or Connor Buderick getting some midfield time in the VFL but they're stuck behind Blakely and Tsitas etc..
Only thing is I don’t think we need
Burgess and mclaughlin.
When we’ve got good kpf depth with
King, Lukosius, Casboult, Chol, Walter, Jeffrey, Burgess, Mclaughlin, Read
Decent KPF depth with
Collins, Ballard, Andrew, Graham, Brock, Jeffrey, Burgess, Read
I reckon we just had an aim to get...
Obviously depends on list size, but my thoughts are
Jed Anderson DELIST
Connor Blakely DELIST
Jake Stein DELIST
James Tsitas DELIST
Charlie Constable DELIST
Sam Day RETIRE
Jeremy Sharp TRADE
Sam Flanders RE-SIGN 2-4 years
Bodhi Uwland RE-SIGN for 2 years
Sandy Brock RE-SIGN for 2 years
Levi...
100%. He has clearly shown a capacity to adjust to different groups and tailor the right approach to maximise the output.
The comment is aimed at those saying Richmond players can come in and 'educate' the Gold Coast group to what Hardwick's requirements are.
I think having some guys to preach...
Probably more familiar with your VFL coach whilst he was there.
I just don't like this notion that because these guys have played in a successful era, they're suddenly all culture experts.
Each playing group is different, what worked for Richmond 6+ years ago, isn't necessarily going to work...
