Welcome to Hawthorn, Jack Saunders - Pick #4 2020 rookie draft

Disagree. There are none in the draft or on the list with his unique blend of speed and endurance. Nor have they shown the rate of improvement in their game that Jack showed in the last 6 weeks of this season.

Welcome to Hawthorn, Jack Saunders - Pick #4 2020 rookie draft

To be honest, cant believe they would let saunders go with the assets he has shown without proper opportunity.... others will grab him if the hawks dont!

Welcome to Hawthorn, Jack Saunders - Pick #4 2020 rookie draft

Very true. Agree he’s a high forward / wing at present. Just highlighting the defensive help both ends of the ground

Welcome to Hawthorn, Jack Saunders - Pick #4 2020 rookie draft

interesting that one. When he plays high forward and wing he often gets deep into defence for intercept marks and creates run from D50

Welcome to Hawthorn, Jack Saunders - Pick #4 2020 rookie draft

So true. I understand he leads not only top speed reached but high speed running distance in game for the season in VFL and AFL. Seen him smash conditioning sessions at training too. Has the endurance for small forward and wing roles. Racks up stats and has impact when up the ground. Looks like...

Welcome to Hawthorn, Jack Saunders - Pick #4 2020 rookie draft

clearly many down last night. Not a great night for BHH. Saunders has to be a lock though given what he has shown in the last 6 weeks and his AFL debut game! Look forward to seeing him after that taste of AFL and another preseason.

Welcome to Hawthorn, Jack Saunders - Pick #4 2020 rookie draft

agree too... Saunders always impressive and developing at an awesome rate in the last 4-5 weeks. its been great to see. I think his composure in F50 will improve with games - especially at the next level. Give him a run this week I say and watch him bring things others currently are not. Things...

List Mgmt. List Management Discussion for 2022

yep. Couple of games at AFL overdue for Saundo. Has assets those in the current side don't have that would be better used at AFL than VFL so hope we get to see it

Hoping too that they give Saundo the chance to show what he offers at the next level - unique attributes are just what they need

Review Round 18, 2022: Northern Bullants v Box Hill Hawks, 24 July 2022, 12.00pm @ Preston City Oval

Saunders has speed and looks to have supreme endurance too.... takes the game on, busts lines and provides much needed drive. Tackles and provides constant defensive pressure also. Nice to see the effort rewarded this week with 2 goals. Jeka - wonderful kick both sides and looks dangerous when...

these guys never stop working!... tough day generally for the all, including the inside mids. One of those off days for sure with the dogs looking structured, quicker, and more clean by hand and foot

High forward role often not a high stat gig. You might want to ask the likes of Jekka, Greene and co how much they appreciate his F50 entry kicks?

Not a great day for the team as a whole obviously. Denver always brings plenty when back at Box Hill. Losing Greene made things tougher when BH pushed back into the game in the second half. I thought Callow helped considerably when moved into the ruck for a change up. As for Saunders - don't...
