Interesting day and a great game of footy. Interesting the Mal was up in the stands with Peverill on a 2 way to the bench with Clinnick and Scar on the bench and didn't they fly the flag with Hislop during the 2nd qtr. Maybe the coaching battle was the difference and Clinnick's CV is looking...
Going to be a ripper game and don't mind paying the 17 dollars with close to a million dollars on display. Could be a battle of the coaching staff but so many if and buts for both teams, such as will May and Hislop play? Interesting that Mal said earlier in the year he didn't want a break coming...
The funds i believe are distributed back to the clubs. This just takes away the need for tickets etc which means everyone pays. Some club reps probably meet at gate and pay for respective team officials to get in I know Abers does this. It is the time for the EDFL to boost their bankroll and you...
It seems that clubs that do come up have a lot of players that don't want to play premier division for a variety of reasons. Maybe it may get to a stage of a club tanking in a grand final in a lower division so they don't have to find an extra 100,000 large to be competitive.
Was good to see the bounce at Clifton Park he is one of the best bounces in the AFL umpires squad. Suppose you have to be good at something to make it,good to see him at local level and huge for the other officiating umpires being mentored.
Also news that a current AFL umpire will be making his comeback from injury in the Abers vs Greenvale game. Not sure if this was done with the AFL and EDFL choosing game of the round for the return but could lift/lower standard of umpiring for the game.
Sorry I didn't once call for his head I was responding to the quote. All I said was that if they get rid of the coach then the committee should go as we'll. I can't understand why clubs sack the coach when they have made the decision to appoint/reappoint a coach. i dont think clubs put it too a...
But the bigger NFL bodies hurt the EDFL and when the rep team started training they had 13-15 for the first couple of weeks when the NFL had 30-40 training 3 weeks before the EDFL started. Also clubs not getting behind the concept(they pay the bills) hurt the EDFL especially when they were...
With this weather we are having at the moment, this may influence the footy over the weekend which is another cracker round. I'm predicting one or two upsets.:thumbsu:
Our comp starts this week and no official word from our league as yet? Is this a beat up or for real? It would be very hard to change rules this late and my son just watched the news story and said he won't want to play,it will be just like Auskick!!! He played his first year last year(U10's)...
Apparently issues with the website. Draft fixture is done and should have been up this morning.
Also interesting article about junior football that AFL Vic want to implement changes, but with the season starting this week what stand will the EDFL take?
A few Abers supporters last year were concerned about always having to dip into their pockets each week to support the club. With a million juniors paying memberships I suppose they have a good starting point but when locals feel they are "Just" a number the real spirit of a club can slowly die...
Lynch and Oswald would be asking anywhere between $1500-3000 a game that's a fair bit of coin plus other signings good to see the pit isn't dry yet. And probably a sign on fee to secure their current contracts, hope the cheque is in the mail for clearance to be approved

More to be revealed in the coming days...!
So that means...
Counting your chickens Volt? Very very early call and we all know what happens on bigfooty with an early crow.......gotta love a November call.....sure your not from Abers?
I don't think the cricket club would be asking where the money is they buried themselves in a big enough hole last season with a member soliciting a loan to pay overs for players that didn't perform and are now are having to consolidate this year trying to get rid of the debt and are struggling...
