Hawks paid a lot to get the SB deal done. Hope he lives up to the expectations here. I was depressed going into trade week with the announcement of Robbie Campbell's retirement. I feel worse now.

Re: Burgoyne deal done I'm going to really resent SB next year I think. Loosing not only our first draft pick but Mark Williams who has been great at Hawthorn. I hope he has a good year next year so I can overcome my bitterness for this deal.

I think you underestimate how much Robbie Campbell contributed in our premiership year. A very much underrated ruckman and I worry about next year now. We don't need star ruckmen. But it looks a bit shaky to me right now. Who knows maybe Renouf will have a great pre season and put on some...

My favorite part of the medal presentation at last years GF was when Robbie Campbell got a hug from that little girl, it was so sweet! Gonna miss the big Bob!

I love the whole 3 generations at Hawthorn thing. I'm sentimental. I picked 2 years, would of been more but 2 seems to be the go unless you're a gun player like Hodge. Would be a very sad day at Hawthorn to see him go. But if he sees more opportunities for himself at another club I guess...

Why is my title changed to I'm disappointed in channel 10's coverage, when I stated the opposite?

I'm jealous of the coverage of the GF this year. Channel 7 last year went to ads during much of the aftermath of the GF. Also they didn't comment on different players as they were presented like channel 10 are doing.

Wasn't actually supporters I was talking about when I made my comment. Mark Thompson is so arrogant. Won't forget the time he said if Geelong played Hawthorn 10 times Geelong would beat them 9 out of the 10, unfortunately that 1 was the GF. So Arrogant!

Didn't really mind Geelong till last year. Pretty ungracious in defeat. Didn't give the Hawks any credit. But anyway I'm with the poster who said don't really care who wins out of Geelong and Collingwood as long as they loose the GF. My most hated teams are still Essendon and Carlton.

Go Doggies! I like Rodney Eade, was a great Hawthorn player. Teams I don't want to even make the GF are Essendon, Carlton and Geelong.

We would of struggled to get a full team out there next week anyway. Oh well, hopefully the boys will have good pre-seasons. And be raring to go next year. Lot of disappointments this year. Made worse because expectations were high. (I think). Bring on next year I say! Go Hawks!

Re: Hawthorn fans - hypocrites It did look way worse than Buddy's to my biased eyes, but it doesn't matter anyway. He made head contact, he will be gone at least 2 weeks. That's where the AFL stood with Buddy's case.

I hope we don't get him. If it was a defender it would be fair enough, but how many star forwards do we need for gods sake!??!!:confused:
