No Wardlaw = No LDU?
Thought our defence battled hard under immense pressure for a lot of the game. Comben, Dawson and Arch were really good today.
Sheez huge in the last. Liked Ford again today, was a little more consistent across all quarters, presented well, took some good contested marks...
I thought he had a positive impact on the team when he was subbed on. Yeah, some mistakes and it took him a little time to get the pace of the game. But he got to many contests and presented often. I haven't been overly impressed with his form since joining the club but thought he gave us...
No one pushing for a AFL place today unfortunately. Thought George and Hardiman had some good moments, but that was a massive last quarter capitulation ... wow, not good
Three interesting team average stats so far this season :
Disposal Efficiency : 77.8 % ... Number 1 in the league
Contested Possessions : 120.8 ... Last in the league
Intercepts : 55.6 ... Last in the League
We are also third last in Contested Marks
Stats show we are just not winning enough...
Great to see a young player who has worked very hard and become a consistent VFL performer get an opportunity at senior level and play so well. Laz got better as the game went on and he gathered confidence in himself. The fact that he and Phillips played so well together in the same game...
Terrible 3rd quarter cost us. Great to see some spirit and fight in the last to make sure we play finals next week. Really impressive game from Lazzaro and Sellars
Spicers tackling technique needs work ... gives away too many frees. Also he has not been clean below his knees today, important skill for a small forward.
Finishing strong here ... goal to Sellars. Great stepping to find space from Hamilton. Lazzaro with another important handball out of congestion as well
To be fair, he usually only sporadically gets a quarter as sub at AFL level. So hard to get any consistency. Might benefit from a run of games starting in the 22.
