Which is exactly the opposite of what we actually want !
We want our current model of football and netball side by side during the week and on matchday, that’s what makes this competition unique and a “true” football netball competition !
I’m going to say yes !
If for example OFC & Upwey had finished on level points, it was 1 all in the head to head and Upwey would take the higher spot by 1pt in aggregates !!
Interesting week of Premier coming up. Genuinely didn’t know that ladder positions were going to be based on the head to head scenarios (I can be a bit slow)
Monbulk will likely finish in 6th spot, having had a far tougher draw despite a lower ladder finish last year, but will miss on the head...
It’s what always made our competition so unique and so attractive….the connection between football and netball groups by having both sports side by side on Saturday, it can’t be replicated in any form ! Friday night netball just isn’t the same !
Split round in Premier over the weekend. Three games played with 3 teams not kicking a goal until at least halfway through the 3rd Qtr.
Two teams in Div 1 not even registering a single score ??
Funny old weekend…
Agree LFG ! Looking forward to this weekends contest at Woori, both clubs have been just getting by in recent weeks, but no doubt they’ll be ramping it up tomorrow, a lot at stake.
By the time September comes around, and assuming lists stay pretty healthy, I think anyone of those 3 can win...
You used to be able to come on here and actually discuss “football”, the last 6-9 months especially have essentially been one of the following - cheap shots at Powelltown, cheap shots at umpire head coach, cheap shots at league admin, and now cheap shots at a player, typically made by people who...
Speaking of Woori, if you’re a neutral looking for a game to watch next weekend, get to Narre. Pies & Tigers both undefeated, both have equal leading goal kickers, very little separating them both right now….should be a cracker !!
I think you’ll find the EFNL and it’s clubs would be happy to get to 50 clubs across the competition (I think it’s about 48 right now ??)
5 even divisions of 10 teams, 9 home and 9 away games against each team so completely uncompromised draw. They’ll chase that until they get it !
What that...
Premier also starts April 22, although I’d say there’s likely an early stand alone on April 15th (usually Narre & Pakenham)
I’d say the late start to ensure a stand alone GF at seasons end !
Got to watch the 2nd half yesterday, terrific contest, brutal last Qtr, talk about throwing the kitchen sink at each other.
Nothing but admiration for Woori, they just turn up every week of every year, and have done so for such a long time !
Garners 4th game in a row - ripped us to pieces in...
No because they’re already a game ahead ! If they win then they obviously go 2 games ahead. The head to heads only matter when you finish on the same points !
Pakenham knocking off Woori changed the game completely. Whoever wins goes through, otherwise Paky beating Monbulk at Monbulk by more than 5 goals would’ve been a big ask….should be a hot one !!
