VFL 2023 - Reserves Game Day discussion Rnds 1 - 22 (Merged threads)

All very well looking good against a team that has won two games for the year. Reality check will be next game against Werribee.

    What’s up with Cripps?

Crippa is cooked at the moment. Happens when you are carrying a team and you keep getting hospital passes. There is no way he is not injured. My greatest fear is Sam Walsh is in a similar boat

Expect Walsh to be reduced to a mere mortal this weekend as I guarantee you that Footscray won’t let him roam around. Therefore, others (ideally everyone) will have have to step up to cover the load otherwise I fear we might get smashed. Need to get the ball into Saads hands at every...

Autopsy Round 1 v Tigers - If only the quarters were longer

Preseason the talk was Setterfield this, Setterfield that, Setterfield trains the house down, blah, blah. Played like a cross between Kerridge and a busted arse. Goes to show that training doesn’t count for a lot in real game. As for Paddy Dow. Training reports were that he was kicking the air...

Game Day Marsh Series, R2: Carlton v Brisbane, Sunday March 8th, 6.40pm (AEDT) @ Ikon Park

I know there was some breeze but how can an AFL player drafted at number 3 have a set shot from 45 metres on a 45 degree angle and have it drop 25 metres out from goal and 25 metres to the right. First quarter so fatigue not an issue. There was some wind but home ground and they practice pre match.
