I agree 100% with what you're saying. At the time we felt we were close and got a ready made player in to potentially help get us over the line, which we had to do.
Just saying in hindsight if we'd known it would be such a poor year we would've probably held onto the pick. Not having a dig at...
The thing i like about Panos is when he get's a set shot i actually have confidence that he will kick the goal, when Grant or Jones have a set shot it's more hope than expecting them to kick the goal.
Seems to be pretty clean with his marking also.
Definitely promote him.
Re: Port Melbourne V Williamstown preview
Great work with the Preview. :thumbsu:
I can't imagine Cordy would be selected ahead of either Panos or Mulligan though.
I think and am hoping Willy will win by 6 goals +.
Hopefully he'll let his actions on field do the talking from here on in.
What's so great about the Dogs culture???
Yes we don't seem to have any players in trouble off field so that's a massive tick.
We have a history of underachieving and a lack of success though.
We certainly don't have a...
Seems to me that Big Will is the 1st victim of the new interchange rule.
Sad to see him go as i think he's a good ruckman and harshly rated by many but trust the club know what they're doing.
Good post.
I agree with the concerns about playing blokes who it appeared were not right and the predictability of our team each week, due to preservering with some poor performing players a bit too long.
I think the Coaches/Medical staff stuffed up playing Johnno early in the year and seemingly...
Re: footy classifieds
I missed the first 20 minutes of the show but saw the bit when he was talking about the 9 players having 6 tackles.
Have never liked him, mainly due to not rating the Dogs but must say i agree with him in that if our Coach is rapt with our efforts then he's easily...
The way the game has gone to half time actually is making our effort from 2 weeks ago a bit more respectable.
Not sure why but it's actually giving me more confidence for the Saints game, normally one of the Prelims is a close one and it doesn't look like it going to be this one.
Don't think previous finals experience should matter when picking the side.
Should always be picked on form, the only way to get experience is to play in these games. Our previous Prelim finals experience is atrocious anyway, close but not close enough.
Hahn had to be dropped, clearly out of...
I think Murphy absolutely must play forward.
He is clearly our best option at CHF so why not start him there.
Really don't understand people saying we need to be unpredictable by starting him at half back, who cares if it's predictable him starting at half forward, he's clearly our best option...
I'm surprised people are saying Hahn gave something in the 2nd half. I thought he was ordinary all game.
All i saw him do, especially in the 2nd half do around a stoppage was point at opponents for others to man up on whilst not being accountable himself, maybe that's a bit harsh but that's how...
Chris Knights has told Adelaide he wants to come home to Melbourne next year and the 2 clubs to have already been in contact with him are Carlton & Richmond.
Source: Very close family friend.
If Murphy doesn't play forward i don't think we can kick enough goals to win the game.
Murphy's delivery into the forward 50 is 2nd to none in our team IMO, which creates more goals for us than him down back.
With Murphy back our half forward line could be Grant (struggled in both finals)...
Murphy MUST play at CHF.
Cant allow them to have a loose man in defence.
We need to kick 12 goals IMO to win the game, not 6-7 or whatever it has been the last 2 Pre lims.
